On the morning of May 9, in Zaporozhye, near the City Hall, clashes took place between pro-Ukrainian activists and residents of the city participating in the «Victory Regiment» action, who planned to march along the central avenue of the city. 

The aggressive pro-Ukrainian activists tore flags from the hands of the citizens and tried to outshine the Soviet songs sung by the participants of the action the Victory regiment» with a loud performance of the anthem of Ukraine. 

After that, the soldiers of the National Guard encircled about 200 participants of the action the «Victory regiment».
