LPR veterans called world veterans' organizations to help end the war in Donbass

Representatives of the LPR Republican organization of veterans appealed to veteran organizations of the world with a request to help end the war in Donbass.

It was announced by Mikhail Gaidukov, the chairman of the LPR organization of veterans, during the parliamentary public hearings on Ukraine's failure to fulfill commitments undertaken in the framework of the Minsk Agreements.

He pointed out that members of the veterans' organizations had actively participated in collecting signatures under the appeal to the UN Security Council, requesting to oblige Ukraine to fulfill its commitments in Minsk.

‘It is natural because it is precisely this category of people who are most affected by the war raging now on our territory. But no matter how long a war continues, it must be followed by peace. Therefore, our contribution is about 10% of all the signatures collected in the LPR,’ said Gaidukov.

The veteran said that the only way to stop the war in Donbass is the implementation of the Minsk Agreements.

‘Taking advantage of the presence of foreign journalists and international observers, I would like to ask them, on behalf of all veterans of the LPR, to pass veterans of Europe and the world our appeal to join us in this work and to assist us in the implementation of resolutions of the UN Security Council on the war in Donbass,’ he said.

‘Because it is the veterans who experienced the horrors of the WWII, can understand, more than anyone else, what events taking place today in Donbass, entail,’ added Gaidukov.
