DPR troops ready to go on offensive if the order comes

00:35, 08.09.2016

Despite the cease-fire declared on September 1, the AFU continue to shell the DPR units position.

It was said by the DPR army soldier Sergey, the call-sign «Rocker", who had taken part in the battles for Saur Tomb against the AFU.

‘The situation on the front is tense, unpleasant, it is obvious for those on the front line. We have strict ban on opening fire, because we comply with the Minsk Agreements. Of course, we are not cannon fodder, if someone rushes forward, we will be able to fight back, but we are not the first to open fire in any case. It is from the other side that shells come all the time. Every evening, after 18:00 or 19:00, they probably have a shift, and the newcomers represent their arrival at the position by launching mortar shells at us. The first days of September it was very loud on the front, despite the ceasefire. They constantly shell us,’ said the soldier.

At the same time, he said that the morale of the DPR units is high, the forces are sufficient and, in case of receiving the order, ‘the troops are ready to go on the offensive’.

He also said that, within two years of the war, he had never seen the OSCE representatives at the forefront.

‘We long stood in Krasny Partizan and the airport. I do not want to speak ill of them, but you know, even in the Chechen war, it was always as follows: if the OSCE comes to our position, soon a rigmarole will begin there (the position will be shelled). They are just dishonest, these OSCE representatives. I talked to our men, sometimes the OSCE had not been allowed at the position for safety reasons. I'm not saying that the OSCE representatives always act dishonestly, but sometimes it is necessary to be cautious,' said the soldier.

‘And yes, the OSCE working day finishes at 18.00. They work until this time and leave. Well, they are not interested in what's going on afterwards,’ added «Rocker».
