The Ukrainian military opened fire on Yasinovataya the previous evening, during a solemn event dedicated to the Day of the Medical Worker of the DPR at the main square of the town, as a result of which the building of the Yasinovataya general boarding school was damaged. This was reported by the City Administration. 

‘Yesterday, at 7:30 pm, from the Ukrainian positions began a strong bombardment of Yasinovataya. At this time, at the central square of the town, there was the holiday of the Day of Medical Worker. Because of the shelling, the solemn event had to be stopped. As a result of the shelling, the building of the Yasinovataya general boarding school was damaged,’ said the representative of the Administration. 

The Administration noted that one of the shells had landed near the square, but none of the civilians, according to recent reports, was injured. At the same time, shortly before the shelling, unmanned aerial vehicles had been seen over the square. 

‘At 21:30, the locality of Donetsk-Severny was de-energized,’ added the Yasinovataya administration. 

Earlier yesterday, it was reported that the Ukrainian military had delivered heavy artillery and mortars to the contact line near Donetsk and Yasinovataya.
