The Kiev military shelled the damaged bridge at Stanitsa Luganskaya (LPR) and the position of the People's Militia in this area, in order to disrupt the process of preparing for its repair. It was reported by the senior officer at the People’s Militia checkpoint on the contact line near Stanitsa Luganskaya, Nikolay Kuzmin.

He reminded that one of the main conditions for the beginning of restoration works is strict adherence to the «regime of silence» in the area of ​​the bridge.

‘At 20.15 (November 2nd), there started the shelling the checkpoint «Bridge», which lasted until 00.10. During this time, there were made about 30 rounds from a infantry fighting vehicle BMP-1, 12 rounds from a rocket-propelled grenade RPG-7, there also worked automatic grenade launchers AGS and heavy machine guns. There were 82mm mortar shells. There are direct hits and serious damage,’ said the senior of the checkpoint.

The consequences of the night shelling of the LPR checkpoint at Stanitsa Luganskaya were documented by representatives of the Joint Center for Control and Coordination of the ceasefire (JCCC) and the Special Monitoring Mission (SMM) of the OSCE.
