Against the background of continuing attacks on the positions of the LPR People's Militia, the Kiev military are preparing to an active offensive in the Debaltsevo direction. This was announced by the official representative of the People's Militia, Major Andrew Marochko.

‘The AFU are continuing to regroup and tightening the arms to the frontline along the entire contact line in the Debaltsevo area, thereby preparing to active offensive operations,’ he said.

‘At the same time, the Kiev military are continuing the shelling of our positions, which began at 8 pm. The shelling is being carried out with the 152mm artillery, mortars and small arms,’ added Marochko.

In the evening, he said that the Kiev military, having violated the ceasefire previously agreed with the representatives of the Joint Center for Coordination and Control (JCCC), had again begun shelling the positions of the LPR People's Militia near Debaltsevo.

Earlier, the official representative of the People's Police reported the battles that were going on along the entire contact line in the area of ​​Debaltsevo. He noted that the Ukrainian command ignored the requests of the JCCC representatives on establishing the «regime of silence» at this site.
