Russian products occupy a dominant position in the foreign trade operations of the DPR. This was announced by the Head of the Donetsk People’s Republic, Alexander Zakharchenko, at the meeting of the Integration Committee «Russia - Donbass» in the Crimea. 

‘Donbass has what to offer to the Russian consumer. What our factories produce is much cheaper and better than foreign analogues. In 2016, exports of goods from the DPR to the Russian Federation grew by $ 34 million. The share of Russian products is 84.4 percent,’ he said. 

Zakharchenko added that now the Republic continued a course of reorientation to the Russian market, thereby ‘restoring old economic ties with the Russian Federation’. 

‘More and more products manufactured in the DPR are exported to the Russian market. The process of reorientation of the Republics of Donbass will take some time, there will be many difficulties, but the most important thing is that the process has already been launched,’ added the Head of the DPR.
