Zakharchenko: Kiev uses "quiet mode" to prepare for war

The Ukrainian authorities are using the agreement on a permanent ceasefire to prepare for another war. It was stated by the Gead of the DPR, Alexander Zakharchenko, during a direct line with journalists.

‘The Minsk-1 appeared after the Ilovaisk pocket, the Minsk-2 after Debaltsevo. Kiev has always used all ceasefires signed in Minsk to regroup its troops, to deliver new forces and means. Now Ukraine is using a new ceasefire in the same way, again using the peace to prepare for another war,’ said Zakharchenko.

According to him, the current situation on the contact line in Donbass does not allow ruling out an offensive by the Ukrainian military.

‘The military situation on the contact line is difficult. Today, on the front, there are units that will allow Ukraine to launch offensive operations. When it will happen is a complex question. However, we are ready for this, we have been waiting for it for many months,’ said the Head of the Republic.

He emphasized that for the Ukrainian side, ‘it will be the last attack’.

‘In this case, the next time we will talk in Kiev,’ summed up Zakharchenko.
