Zakharchenko: We will liberate entire territory of former Donetsk region which belongs to DPR by law

The Ukrainian military must leave the occupied part of the former Donetsk region which, according to the results of the referendum of 2014, is entirely the Donetsk People's Republic. This was announced by Alexander Zakharchenko, the Head of the DPR, during a direct conversation with the residents.

‘The whole former Donetsk region was the territory of the referendum in May, so now it is a territory of the DPR. We will insist on the referendum results being valuable on the whole territory of the former Donetsk region. The Ukrainian punishers must withdraw from our land: whether they are lucky or not, whether we'll have to push them out or not, only the time will tell,’ said Zakharchenko.

Zakharchenko said that the part of the former Donetsk region currently occupied by AFU is a temporarily occupied territory.

‘I emphasize that it is temporarily occupied. If the attempts to solve the issue of releasing the land in a peaceful way are not successful, then we will deal with them as we can,’ added the head of the Republic.
