The anniversary of the Crimean referendum is a common holiday for the Crimea, Donbass and all Russia, said the leader of the Donetsk People’s Republic, Alexander Zakharchenko, at a rally in Simferopol. 

A festive procession dedicated to the third anniversary of the March referendum, the result of which was the reunification of the Crimea and Russia, was held along the central streets of Simferopol. Then, a solemn meeting was held at the walls of the Crimean Parliament. 

‘Yes, we are at war, they are shooting at us, people are dying, but March 16 is not only your holiday. On March 16, three years ago, you went ahead, and we followed.This is our common holiday and, which is the most important, it is a holiday of our Homeland - Russia,’ said Zakharchenko. 

The Head of the DPR congratulated the Crimeans on their victory and their return to Russia.
