They should not have come to us!

March 1, 2014 is the Day of the Russian uprising in Donbass.

Let’s remember how it began …

Three years ago, in Donbas began the Russian spring. Three years ago, the Russians rebelled against the fascist regime that had been installed by the coup in Ukraine.

It all started on that day, the windless cloudy day of March 1st. On that day, Donetsk arose. were About 150 thousand people gathered at the Lenin Square, under Russian flags and flags of the «Donetsk Republic». The same ones that, just over a month later, would become the national flags of the DPR.

People already knew that the new history had begun, that there would never be Ukraine as it had been before.

‘It all started with Maidan which showed us that Donbass and Ukraine had different ways. We were proud to begin building a new country, even though in 2014, few imagined what was ahead of us. I'm sure that even if Donetsk residents had known that our revolt would lead to the war, on March 1st we would still have come out at the Lenin Square with «tricolors» (although the first meeting was held in Donetsk on February 23, when the «Berkut» was back in the city). After all, if we had not risen, we would have been caught one by one and destroyed. I am proud that we have now a different country which has nothing to do with Ukraine, Bandera and other Nazi thugs. I am sure that soon Donbass will become part of the Russian Federation and will become its pearl, because we are a hard-working people. For me personally, Ukraine is long gone. It died on Maidan in Kiev, in Odessa and in Donbass,’ said a resident of Donetsk, Alexander.

We can not but admit that the nationalization carried out today by the Donetsk authorities, which they just had to start due to the blockade of Donbass, is a sign that the Russian spring continues. After all, one of the main requirements put forward by the residents of Donetsk and Lugansk in 2014, was that all businesses be given to the people.

The recognition of documents of the Republics by Russia, the ruble which is now the main currency in Donbass, all this suggests that Novorossia will live.

No matter that the bloody President Poroshenko screamed that the «Novorossia project» had been closed closed and the Russian spring stopped, today the Donetsk and Lugansk Republics live their own lives.

Yes, the war is still going on, and it is very scary. But Donbass has already won this war, because ordinary miners said, ‘Enough!’ three years ago. They raised Russian flags and chanted, ‘Russia!’. And when they had to take up arms to defend their homeland, their families and their homes, they did not hesitate to do so.

Donbass has had to go through a lot of grief, and the Lord only knows through what it will have to go again. But the main thing is that Donbass proved that no one ever put it on its knees. Donbass residents will decide their fate for themselves, because they deserve it, more than anyone today.

With all my heart I want to congratulate the residents of Donbass on the Russian Spring anniversary! And also those who rose, then in 2014, along with them in the Crimea, Odessa, Kharkov, Nikolaev, Kherson ...

The day is bound to come when March 1 will become an official holiday, not only in the DPR and LPR, but also in all the liberated territories of Ukraine.
