The April ceasefire has not been observed in Donbass for a single day. Moreover, just a week after its announcement, the Ukrainian side again used in the shelling artillery, tanks, infantry fighting vehicles and heavy mortars.
The head of the DPR again conducted the direct line with the inhabitants of Ukraine to tell them about both the situation at the front and building a peaceful life in the Republic.
Meanwhile, Ukraine continued to make decisions that are deadly not only for the country's economy, but for the very fact of its existence.
On April 10, the Ukrainian side, for the first time since the beginning of another truce, opens fire from tanks on localities in the south of the DPR As a result, one apartment building is damaged and another completely burned down. The Ukrainian military, whose positions are 300 meters from the locality, open fire on firefighters who have come to extinguish the fire.
In addition, in the city of Dokuchaevsk, a kindergarten is shelled with incendiary shells, with children inside.
Moreover, the Ukrainian military shell with mortars Yasinovataya, located north of Donetsk, to disrupt the repair work on the power lines damaged during the previous bombardment.

Meanwhile in Ukraine, unknown young people seize the city council building in Poltava, demanding a report from the mayor of the city. According to eyewitnesses, among the «activists» there are no local residents, but some minors are seen.
In Kiev and Kharkov, nationalists continue to block the branches of the Russian Sberbank subsidiaries. In Kharkov, there are clashes between the «patriots» and the police, while in Kiev, tents are put up near the Sberbank walled central office and the action is declared perpetual.

On April 11, about 90 artillery shells, about 200 mortar shells are launched, and 6 rounds from tanks are made from the Ukrainian side on the outskirts of Donetsk and the southern localities, as a result of which four residential houses are damaged.
In the LPR, as a result of bombardments by the Ukrainian army, 3 apartment houses are damaged, as well as power lines, resulting in 124 residential houses left without electricity.

In the DPR, over 20,000 veterans of the Great Patriotic War have already received a one-time material aid to the Victory Day on May 9, for a total of 36 billion rubles.
At the same time, the Ukrainian mobile operator blocks the phone numbers of the organizers of the «Immortal Regiment» action in the DPR, with a vague formulation ‘for illegal actions’.

On April 12, the DPR military authorities report a massive mortar attack on the Avdeevka industrial zone, north of Donetsk, and the intensification of the Ukrainian snipers activity along the entire front line. At the same time, another group of foreign instructors arrives at the Donetsk segment of the front for the further training of snipers, as well as a reconnaissance platoon.
On the Ukrainian side of the front line, north of Donetsk, there is an explosion at an ammunition depot. The DPR military authorities assume that the cause of the explosion could be either concealment of ammunition theft, or failure to comply with security measures.
In favor of the second assumption is the information obtained by the LRR reconnaissance that shells for MLRS «Grad» are stored directly under the open sky at one of the RAW storage facilities in the Lugansk segment of the front.
In addition, in the Lugansk segment of the front, the OSCE observers detect over 40 Ukrainian infantry fighting vehicles, which were supposed to have been withdrawn from the contact line. Moreover, the Ukrainian armored vehicles are located on the territory of a kindergarten and between houses.
On the same day, exercises to de-mine the territory are underway in the LPR.
At a meeting of the Contact Group in Minsk, representatives of the DPR call for an urgent inspection of the Avdeevka Coke Plant, jointly by the specialists of the Republic and Ukraine. According to the authorities of the Republic, employees of the plant are being sacked, including those responsible for environmental safety.
Representatives of the LPR declare at the meeting in Minsk the danger of flooding of mines on the Kiev-controlled territory, which can lead to a poisoning of water resources on the both sides of the contact line.
At the same time, the Prosecutor General of Ukraine acknowledges in an interview with the Bild that there are about 100 illegally detained civilians of the DPR on the territory of Ukraine, which contradicts not only the Minsk Agreements, but also international law.

The military authorities of the DPR relates the increase in the intensity of shelling with the stay in the ATO area of the commission from Kiev, which demanded from the commanders of the Ukrainian army a demonstration of readiness for the continuation of active hostilities.
As a result of the massive shelling, two soldiers of the DPR army are killed and another wounded.
In the LPR, the intelligence reports the discovery of a Ukrainian «Strela-10» anti-aircraft missile system 50 km from Lugansk.
Meanwhile, in Ukraine, in Dnepropetrovsk, unknown people fire traumatic weapons at a children's clinical hospital, as a result of which windows, installed by the hospital staff at their own expense, are smashed in many rooms.

On April 14, the Head of the DPR holds a direct line with the citizens of Ukraine.
In the process of communicating with the Ukrainians, the Head of the Republic declares that the Ukrainian army is preparing for a massive offensive, and also reports that since the beginning of the conflict in Donbass, the losses of the Ukrainian side have amounted to about 30,000 people.
At the same time, a day earlier, the Ukrainian President Poroshenko said that for the entire period of the ATO, a bit over 2,500 Ukrainian military had been killed in Donbass.
Poroshenko also signs the law ‘On Strengthening the Responsibility of Military in the ATP Zone’, aimed at expanding the system of fines in the Ukrainian army.
As a consequence, it should not be surprising that according to the Committee of Soldiers' Mothers of Ukraine, only over last week, 120 Ukrainian soldiers deserted from the front line and applied to the Committee for help.
At the same time, according to the data of the DPR Ombudsman, only over last week, on the Kiev-controlled territory, the SBU detained 3 civilians on suspicion of ‘sympathizing with the terrorists’.
During the trip to the south of the Republic, journalists find a crater 3 meters deep and about 10 meters in diameter, left by an Uragan MLRS shell, which the Ukrainian side launched on April 9.
On April 15, on the eve of Easter, two houses are damaged in the DPR as a result of the shelling from the Ukrainian side.
At the same time, the DPR intelligence reports the arrival of new Ukrainian weapons at the front line, including one MLRS «Grad», 5 tanks, 16 motorized artillery systems and 12 howitzers, the latter placed right in a front-line locality controlled by Kiev.
In the Lugansk segment of the front, according to the LPR intelligence, Kiev delivers a train with tanks and motorized artillery systems, as well as 2 MLRS «Grad».
In the LPR, exercises are held for maneuver shooting from tanks.
Meanwhile, in the Kiev-controlled Mariupol, the largest city in the south of Donbass, the city authorities cancel the religious procession in honor of Easter because of the threat of attack on believers by nationalists.
On April 16, the day of Easter, the shelling of the territory of the Republic from the Ukrainian side does not stop. In the DPR, one house in Donetsk is damaged and two soldiers of the army of the Republic are wounded.
At the same time, the military authorities of the Republic report that the Ukrainian military deliberately shell the pumping stations of the South Donbass water conduit, supplying filtration plants that provide water to 2 million inhabitants of Donbass located on both sides of the contact line.
On April 17, the Ukrainian side opens fire from mortars and grenade launchers mainly in the north and south of the DPR.
According to the war correspondents, forced to open a retaliatory fire, the DPR army takes back the heights occupied by the Ukrainian army in the winter of 2017, in particular, in the south of the Republic.
The DPR intelligence reports that 300 mercenaries equipped and armed by NATO standards have arrived on the Ukrainian side. One group was seen in Mariupol, the other in the Donetsk region.
According to the LPR intelligence, the ammunition depots on the Ukrainian side are located directly in localities or on their outskirts, with flamethrowers and poisonous substances detected at one of them.
Meanwhile in Kiev, one of the Ukrainian military experts says that Mariupol is ready to raise Russian flags at any time and go under the jurisdiction of the DPR.
At the same time, one of the most active organizers of the Kiev Maydan in 2013-2014, gathers a meeting near the Presidential administration with the demand of mass arrests of the opposition and all those who are dissatisfied with the actions of the Kiev regime.
On April 18, the Ukrainian side conducts massive mortar attacks on the outskirts of Donetsk and Yasinovataya, located to the north of the capital of the DPR.
In addition, in Ukraine-controlled Avdeevka, the Ukrainian military carry out a provocation, about which the DPR military authorities warned on April 12. The Ukrainian military shell residential houses, which is recorded by the Kiev media and immediately presented as a bombardment by the DPR.
At the same time, the ATO command states that the shelling resulted in one Ukrainian soldier wounded and no civilian casualties, from which it can be concluded that the houses in the city are occupied by the Ukrainian military.
At the same time, the OSCE observers do not record this bombardment because, for an unknown reason, they leave this locality earlier than usual, before the shelling.
In the LPR, the Ukrainian side once again foils the withdrawal of troops from the contact line in the area of Stanitsa Luganskaya.
The OSCE observers note in their reports the fact that they are restricted in accessing the positions of the Ukrainian army in the area of five localities, precisely those in which, according to the LPR intelligence, there are conglomerations of Ukrainian military equipment.
In the meantime, the fifth, Slavyanskaya TPP stops due to coal shortage in Ukraine. Thus, Ukraine is left with only one TPP working in the town of Schastye, located near the front line in the Kiev-controlled part of the former Lugansk region.

68% of respondents believe that the financial situation of their family has deteriorated after moving.
The biggest problem, according to the displaced persons, is high rent for housing (46%) and discrimination by landlords on the basis of geography (19%).
42% of respondents have stated their intentions to return home. Another 26% believe that they will have to return against their own will, due to lack of work, high rent for housing and other reasons.
On April 19, in the DPR, the Ukrainian side actively shells with grenade launchers along the entire front line. In the south, mortars are also used.
The Minister of Defense of Ukraine declares his intention to send over 20 tanks to the ATO zone and continue to build up a tank grouping on the contact line.
At the same time, the DPR intelligence reports that the Ukrainian armament is located directly on the territory of the Avdeevka coke plant.
Vittorio Gilotti, president of the Italian public organization Cantiere Laboratorio, and Irina Vikhoreva, president of the cultural association Speranza, come to the Republic to see the scale of the devastation in Donetsk and talk with its residents.
