Kremlin’s nightmare in Khreshchatyk

The Russians have long since understood everything. For example, the fact that «strong and independent» Ukraine has, in fact, turned out to be a common kept woman who has replaced one «sponsor» with another. However, the replacement has not turned out very successful.

The reason for this, if nothing else, is that Russia which, according to legends, offended, infringed, oppressed, festered and dreamed of enslaving Ukraine, behaved somewhat strange for the «aggressor». It gave money and cooperated (sometimes, to its own detriment) without demanding in exchange to lift a moratorium on the sale of agricultural land, raise the retirement age, cut down forests and carry out suicidal reforms. Moreover, it was ready to accept Ukraine in the Customs Union without humiliating procedures and impracticable conditions. If all this is really seen as infringement and aggression, then it is quite understandable why the US is considered the «conscience of the world».

However, the saucepan-head Ukres have one ferro-concrete argument: ‘Russia has stolen the Crimea from us and is waging the war in Donbass’. But! The Crimea simply took advantage, through a referendum, of its chance to restore the historical justice. Had the Transcarpathia and Lvov had the same opportunity, they would have done the same. And do not make Pinocchio's face. We all know perfectly well that the frantic Ukrainian patriotism ends where it just smells of money and abroad. As for the war in the Donbass, I remind you that it has not been announced after all.

Moreover, there is not a single fact that ‘Ivan Ivanov, a citizen of the Russian Federation, shelled with mortars or artillery the territory of Ukraine, as a result of which civilians died and suffered’. But there are plenty of facts like this about the consequences of the actions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, more than enough. I repeat, there is not a single fact about the presence of the Russian troops in Donbass, which Ukraine can really present in court and not expose itself to ridicule.

Moreover, if Ukraine had at least some real evidence, not a fairy tale in the form of stories from Tymchuk, Gritsak, Poltorak, Poroshenko and offices like the Infromnnapalm, it would all have been made public and transferred to The sacred Hague.

There is one more nuance. The Crimea as a part of the Russian Federation and the war with an indefinite status are beneficial both to Poroshenko and to the West. For the former, this is an opportunity to keep the country and stay in the presidential chair. For the latter, this is a way of containing Russia, as well as allowing them to nominate Russia for the role of the main «world evil».

Therefore, yesterday's parade is just an expensive theatrical performance. Yes, there were a lot of mummers. Yes, there was an illusion that the whole world was with them. Yes, there was a feeling that together they are a force that will definitely win.

But who is the enemy?

You can, of course, convince yourself that it is thanks to NATO troops in Kiev that there are no Putin’s troops there. In fact, the reason for a couple of hundred NATO military men feeling so relaxed and comfortable there, is precisely that Putin does not need either Kiev or all of Ukraine. This is just a feeble satisfaction for the inability to hold a ceremonial rally on the Nakhimov square in Sevastopol. For which, by the way, they will also have to pay. The first bill has already been given to them by the head of the Pentagon who took the parade.

In a word, such «independence» looks strange.

And yet, everyone chooses for themselves.

If the Ukrainians are ready to drive themselves, through big blood, into slavery for the sake of the dubious status of NATO's «ally», then, as the saying goes, a flag into their hands, a drum around their neck, a feather to get high and a bell to ring.

But I really can not understand how yesterday's fair of Ukrainian vanity ‘killed Moscow’. I do not remember a case that someone died of laughter.

And, yes! The passage of four Estonian and four Latvian soldiers along Khreshchatyk is likely to be worth the lives of those who die under bombardments in Donbass and survive throughout Ukraine. Indeed, ‘vanity is my most beloved sin’ ©
