The situation in the Donetsk People’s Republic remains tense.
Over the past day, the Ukrainian military violated the ceasefire 1,205 times, having launched 400 82 and 120mm mortar shells. In addition, the enemy used in the shelling grenade launchers, infantry fighting vehicles and small arms of different types.
The Ukrainian terrorists Panchenko, Brusov, Gruzevich, Shaptala, Nikolyuk, Sokolov and Delyatitsky shelled the following localities of the Republic: Zaytsevo, Gorlovka, Vasilyevka, Shirokaya Balka, Yasinovataya, Spartak, Staromikhaylovka, Alexandrovka, Leninskoye, Sakhanka, Bezymennoye and Trudovskiye in the Petrovsky district of Donetsk city.
The mortar fire from the positions of the Ukrainian criminals caused damage to 16 residential houses in the locality of Gorlovka, in the streets Pereyaslavskaya, 40 years of Oktyabr, Polosukhina, Prodolnaya, and the lanes Bunkerny and Poltavsky.
As a result of a sniper fire from the side of the Ukrainian punishers on a repair crew that came to restore power supply in the area of the locality of Gorlovka, there was severely wounded one of the crew members, Svyatoslav Kuscherenko born in 1976, who subsequently died in hospital.
All the data about the Minsk Agreements violations were passed to representatives of the JCCC and the OSCE mission.
Our intelligence continues to record the strengthening of the AFU positions near the contact line.
- In Novotroitskoye (6 km away from the contact line), there were detected four tanks;
- In Bogdanovka (4 km away from the contact line) and Bakhchevik (13 km away from the contact line), there were detected four firing positions of MLRS «Grad» in each locality;
- In Starognatovka (4.5 km away from the contact line), there were detected nine towed howitzers D-30.
We note an increase in the number of non-combat losses among the AFU personnel, associated with the use of drugs and alcohol. According to local residents on the AFU occupied territories, to meet a sober Ukrainian soldier is a rarity.
In particular, in the area of the locality of Avdeevka, after another case of drinking alcohol, started clashes between the nationalists of the «Right sector» and the military of the 1st battalion of the 72nd separate mechanized brigade. As a result of the showdown, the «fighters for justice» switched to firearms, which resulted in one member of the «Right Sector» killed and three soldiers of the 72nd brigade were taken to hospitals with injuries of varying degrees of severity. A similar clash occurred among Marines of the 36th separate Marine brigade, where the result of a quarrel, after drinking alcohol, was the murder of one Marine from an automatic gun.
The growing number of non-combat losses is also noted by the Main Military Prosecutor's Office of Ukraine. According to its chief, Matios, since the beginning of the «Anti-Terrorist Operation» the AFU non-combat losses amounted to 1,294 soldiers. Among them, a significant part of deaths is caused by drug and alcohol use. These figures are almost twice as high as the data of the Defense Ministry of Ukraine which continues to conceal their losses from the public.
The Ukrainian Military Prosecutor's Office confirms the inability to the AFU command to provide law and order and military discipline of its military who continue to cause the loss of civilians of Donbass and destroy their homes.
The DPR People’s Militia units are always combat-ready and able to give a fitting rebuff to any raids from the Ukrainian side.
