Today, I will once again sum up the activities of the LPR People’s Militia units for the past week, and inform you of the situation on the front line.
In the period from November 27 to December 3, the subordinate units and subunits of the People's Militia continued to conduct formal combat training and cohesion of the units. There was regularly held training with units to bring them in different degrees of readiness. In addition, military of several units of the People’s Militia regularly conducted lessons on patriotic education in schools of the Republic.
In order to divert attention from domestic problems, the Kiev authorities, through the media controlled by them, continue to spread false information that the units of the People's Militia violate the «regime of silence» on the contact line. Thus, they are trying to cause the the negative attitude of the civilian population to the LPR People’s Militia and maintain the interest of foreign investors to finance the bloody conflict in Donbass.
It was found out that the 14th brigade of the AFU had been preparing an informational provocation. In this regard, Polish correspondents expressed a desire to make a report in one of the localities near the contact line. To participate in the shooting, there had been prepared a soldier of the brigade, who under the guise of a local resident, had to give a negative assessment of actions of the LPR People's Militia units, but he was ready to play in this performance only for a great amount of money.
We note a revitalization of the enemy’s subversive groups in the localities near the contact line. In particular, yesterday, near the locality of Zhelobok, a group of of six saboteurs of the 24th brigade of the AFU tried to bypass the position of the People's Militia and enter the locality of Donetsk in order to commit sabotage and terrorist acts against the local citizens of the Republic. With the intentions of saboteurs discovered, the enemy group was destroyed. Among the Ukrainian saboteurs’ equipment there was found plastic explosive, detonators and submunitions to compose explosive devices. As a result of the clash, one soldier of the People's Militia was gunshot.
In addition, we found facts of understaffing in the AFU units located along the contact line. In particular, it became known that on the eve of another inspection by a committee of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, in subunits of the 14th brigade of the AFU there were invalid permutation on the state to artificially improve the staffing performance and readiness. The personnel with no special training is appointed to positions. For example, it is known that grenade launcher crews are appointed as mechanics-drivers of different categories.
In the locality of Stanytsa Luganskaya arrived two battalions of the National Guard of Ukraine. Soldiers in these units wear black uniforms. We know that arriving soldiers carry out checks of the population, according to the housing books, for further accommodation of the AFU troops in the homes of local residents.
There are revealed further facts of the low morale of the military in the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the contact line. In particular, on December 1, one soldier of the AFU, unable to withstand the pressure and bullying on the part of the commanders, crossed the contact line on a infantry fighting vehicle and surrendered to the LPR authorities.
In the 2nd battalion of the 93rd separate mechanized brigade, stationed near the locality of Novotoshkovskoye, two AFU officer committed suicide.
All the facts of desertion and non-combat losses are carefully hidden from the superior command. But there was a leak of information, followed by a commission of the separate tactical group «Lugansk» headquarters arriving to find out the reasons.
In spite of our commitment to a peaceful settlement of the conflict and the full implementation of the ceasefire conditions, the AFU units continue to escalate the situation in the region, regrouping their equipment, prohibited by the Minsk Agreements, near the contact line.
To improve the combat readiness of the units and strengthen the defensive positions, the enemy focuses the main efforts on the protection and defense of the previously occupied areas and retrofitting, in engineering terms, of the positions.
We continue to record facts of the movement of the AFU equipment prohibited by the Minsk Agreements, near the contact line, In particular, there were detected in the following areas:
- the locality of Popasnaya, firing positions of two 120mm mortars and storehouses of artillery and missile arms;
- the locality of Troitskoye, positions of one mortar battery of the 54th brigade;
- the locality of Novozvanovka, three armored personnel carriers and three trucks with ammunition and property;
- the locality of Orekhovo, two 122mm motorized artillery systems «Gvozdika» of the 93rd brigade of the AFU;
- the locality of Bolotennoye, two vehicles and one infantry fighting vehicle;
- the locality of Schastye, four vehicles, three tanks T-64 and five armored personnel carriers BTR-80;
- the locality of Lopaskino, thirteen pieces of armored personnel carriers and infantry fighting vehicles.
Thus, the war criminals are building up the ammunition storage in order to carry out provocative activities against LPR People’s Militia and shell the territory of the Republic.
The situation on the contact line remains tense. In the period from November 27 to December 3, the Ukrainian military violated the ceasefire 21 times, which indicates an increase in the half compared with the previous week. The fire was opened from tanks, 82 and 120mm mortars, prohibited by the Minsk Agreements. In addition, the enemy also used in the shelling infantry fighting vehicles, grenade launchers and small arms. There were launched 133 mortar shells on the territory of the Republic.
The mortar fire was spotted with UAVs provided by Ukrainian volunteers, accomplices of terrorism.
The Ukrainian punishers shelled the positions of the People’s Militia units in the area of the following localities: Novokievka, the Prince Igor monument, Christovo, Rayovka, Zhyoltoye, Zhelobok, Donetsky, Kalinovo-Borschevatoye, Kalinovo, Lozovoye.
The orders to open fire on the positions of the LPR People’s Militia were given to their units by the war criminals, ardent nationalists, murderers of the civilians of Donbass:
- the commander of the 44th separate artillery brigade, Baranov;
- the commander of the 24th separate mechanized brigade, Shevchenko;
- the commander of the 9th battalion of the 59th separate mechanized infantry brigade, Ivanov.
The absence of the AFU equipment at the storage sites is also confirmed by the OSCE monitoring mission publishing in their daily reports facts of the Minsk Agreements violations by the Ukrainian side.
In particular, over the past week, representatives of the OSCE mission documented the absence of the following AFU equipment:
- 7 152mm towed howitzers «Ghiatsint-B»;
- 10 152mm towed howitzers «Msta-B»;
- 4 122mm motorized howitzers 2C1 «Gvozdika»;
- 3 122mm MLRS Bm-21 «Grad»;
- 14 100mm anti-tank cannons MT-12 «Rapira»;
- 15 tanks T-64 and T-72;
- 6 82mm automatic mortars.
According to our data, weapons and equipment withdrawn from the storage sites are amassed and disguised on the AFU positions along the contact line.
The AFU units regularly use this equipment to shell our positions.
Thus, despite the extremely unstable internal political situation in Ukraine, the military authorities continue a military build-up in order to solve the conflict in the south-east of the country by force.
Ukraine continues to escalate the situation in the conflict zone. The political authorities are clearly unable to control a significant part of the armed units in the area of the so-called ATO. With activation of provocative actions, the Kiev military are trying to cause the return fire of our units at the forefront. But I can assure you that the commanders of the LPR People’s Militia units have received the order not to open return fire. Thus, we reaffirm our readiness to fulfill all our obligations under the Minsk Agreements.
