In the DPR and LPR the elections of the Heads of the Republics and MPs to the People's Councils took place. In the DPR the turnout was 85%. Alexander Zakharchenko was elected the Head of the Republic (78.93%); his party The Donetsk Republic received the majority in the Parliament (68.33%). In the LPR the turnout was 68.71%. Igor Plotnitsky was elected the Head of the Republic (63.08%); his party the Peace of Lugansk received the majority in the Parliament (69.42%). The fifth humanitarian convoy from Russia arrived in Donbass. Igor Bezler left the command of the brigade in Gorlovka. 17 residents of Kherson returned home from Donbass where they had been helping to eliminate destructions caused by the punitives for 70 days. In Nikolaev there was held the first after a long break action of the local Antimaidan in memory of those killed in the Odessa Trade Unions House on 2 May 2014.

The Russian Federation recognised the elections in the DPR and LPR as valid.

In Donetsk the inauguration of the new Head of the DPR took place. Alexander Zakharchenko swore to the people of the Donetsk People’s Republic on the Bible. The sixth humanitarian convoy from Russia arrived in Donbass. It delivered food, fuel, building materials and medicines. In the Donetsk airport there was going on the fierce “ceasefire”, including using incendiary shells. Observers noticed Ukrainian aircrafts flying from the north-western direction. The DPR partizans destroyed a fuel storage and fired at checkpoints of the Ukrainian military in Kramatorsk. In Kiev the flag of Novorossia appeared on an unfinished building of the Karpenko-Kary Kiev National Theatre, Cinema and TV University on the Lvov square.

The official Kiev abolished the law ‘On the special status of Donbass’. At another meeting of the Kiev government Arseny Yatsenyuk announced that the government funding whatsoever of Novorossia was to be stopped. In Mariupol the MFU continued mining strategic objects; during the day there was a shooting in the area of the Mariupol airport (westwards from the town). In the Kherson region the Ukrainian military placed anti-air missiles to defend the borders with the Crimea. In Kiev there were arrested soldiers of the battalion Shakhtyorsk carrying a huge amount of weapons; there were also wanted deserters from the battalion Aydar.

One of shells launched by the Ukrainian artillery landed on the stadium of the school N63 in the township October, in the Kiev district of Donetsk. Due to the shell's explosion two youngsters were killed and four more children were injured. Two Ukrainian drones were noticed flying over Pesky towards Donetsk. During artillery duels units of the militia destroyed a congestion of Ukrainian armoured vehicles near Debaltsevo.

The Investigative Committee of the RF opened criminal proceedings upon the shelling of the school N63 in Donetsk that had taken place the day before. The Ukrainian Military Prosecutor's Office accused more than 3,000 people of desertion and evasion of mobilisation. In Druzhkovka (the Kramatorsk area) the punitives kept building the second line of defence and placing their positions in residential areas and schools. It was reported from Kharkov that ambulances were moving in the city every 5-10 minutes, carrying injured Ukrainian military. In Volnovakha and Ugledar there went on repressions of the punitive troops against civilians: people whose relatives had taken part in organising the elections in Donetsk were arrested on spurious grounds ‘aiding separatists’ and taken to Dnepropetrovsk.

The DPR vice Premier Minister Andrey Purgin declared that the DPR disagreed to the special economic zone proposed by Kiev and that the partnership might be only equal. Large-scale hostilities actually resumed when a column of Ukrainian armoured vehicles entered Yasinovataya. The skirmish resulted in 4 tanks and 1 APC destroyed. At the same time fightings intensified in other parts of the front. The especially tense situation was in Donetsk where the sound of cannon fire didn’t abate during all the day; all the districts of the city were shelled. The directions from which the city was shelled remained the same: from Pesky, outskirts of Petrovka and areas westward from Avdeevka. For 24 hours the Ukrainian military had violated the ceasefire 18 times, using Grads and incendiary shells. There were also two sabotage groups of the enemy “working” in Donetsk. Battles also intensified near Stanitsa Luganskaya, northward from Lugansk, and around Schastye; in these areas sabotage groups were especially active. One of sabotge groups killed militiamen at a checkpoint near Yasinovataya with knives thrusted into the heart. Hostilities also resumed in Stakhanov. In Mariupol local residents prevented the installation of a checkpoint of the MFU in a residential area. People stood as a living wall to protect their houses. In Dimitrov unknown people put up the flag of the Donetsk People's Republic on power lines above a lake near the Gagarin park. The flag was attached to power lines with special hooks so that it was practically impossible to take it away. In the centre of Kharkov there was a fire in a three-storey office building where in one of the offices there was a clothes store for the punitives in the so-called ATO zone.

The OSCE officially admitted that the school N63 in Donetsk had been shelled from the direction where there were positions of the Ukrainian troops. The President Poroshenko declared that Ukrainian would be the only state language in the country. The Prosecutor’s Office was to investigate that fact of the Ukrainian military's leaving the checkpoint N32. The Ukrainian commandment started to prepare to the defence by building the line of defence in the rear of the Ukrainian army. The first line passed through localities Mariupol, Volnovakha, Kurakhovo, Konstantinovka and Artyomovsk; the second line passed through Slavyansk, Kramatorsk, the border of the Dnepropetrovsk region and Berdyansk in the Zaporozhye region. According to the instruction of the commandment of the MFU checkpoints of the Kiev military in towns Mariupol, Kramatorsk, Slavyansk (the DPR) and Izum (the Kharkov region) were to be set as close to residential areas as possible. The activity of the aviation of the MFU also intensified; no less than a link of stormtroopers and two transport planes were noticed in the sky above Donetsk. The CiberBerkut unveiled statements of Vitaly Yarema, the General Prosecutor of Ukraine, prepared for an inter-ministerial meeting, in which he gave examples of brutal crimes against civilians committed by soldiers of voluntary battalions. In Mariupol people, especially young girls, kept being kidnapped. Roman Gnatyuk, a Ukrainian journalist, who had covered the elections of 2 November 2014, told, on the air from Donetsk, the truth about the shelling of the school N63 where children had been killed and about local residents waiting for the Russian troops to enter and protect them, for which he was cut off the air.

Alexander Boroday and Igor Bezler were awarded with the title of Hero of the DPR. There were active fightings near Nikishino, at the Mariupol direction, in the area of the Donetsk airport, along the road Bakhmutka and at the Lugansk direction near Schastye and Stanitsa Luganskaya. Two columns of infantry and armoured vehicles of the militia, including howitzers D-30, APCs, tanks and trucks, entered Donetsk. In the city itself there was redeployment of the military: tanks of the militia of the DPR were moving to fighting positions along Kuprin St. In different districts of the city fortifications were created. In both Donetsk and Makeevka, as well as in nearby localities, there increased disruptions in the mobile connection, especially provided by the MTC. The militia entrenched well in Novoazovsk and its vicinities. In the area of Nikishino there was detained a group of Ukrainian military who, disguising themselves with identification marks of the medical service, transported ammunition to fighting positions of the punitives. The LPR units destroyed a ferry of the MFU across the river Seversky Donets and, by pinpoint strikes, prevented the MFU's shelling of Lugansk from several dozens of launching systems Grads, Smerches and Uragans. Several localities in the LPR and a part of Lugansk were left without electricity due to the hostilities and there was no possibility to resume electricity supply. The militia of the LPR and representatives of Kiev help an exchange of war prisoners in the format of 7 Ukrainian military for 5 militiamen. The exchange took place near Schastye. The Chechen unit of the Army of Novorossia killed Vakhid Bamatgireev, the commander of Ichkeria radicals from both Chechen wars, who had been fighting for the MFU in the Donetsk airport and its vicinities. 66 Ukrainian war prisoners from the punitive battalion Donbass took part in the restoration of Ilovaysk.

At all the directions junta continued regrouping and increasing the number of combat-ready units of the Ukrainian troops. The Ukrainian punitives delivered missiles Scad similar in their characteristics to missiles Tochka-U to the front line in the Stanichno-Lugansk area. The Ukrainian army started mass shelling of the town Kirovsk and the township Frunze (the LPR) from howitzers and launching systems Uragan. In the area of Avdeevka a sabotage group of the Ukrainian military committed arson at the Donetsk filter station which might cause a large-scale man-made disaster, including emissions of chlorine. The MFU scattered anti-personnel mines Lepestok (Petal) damaging a lower part of leg at stepping on them. Because of the unusual shape of the plastic housing children could take such a mine for a toy. A strike-ball team Makhnovtsy from Donetsk fought in full force in the battalion Dnepr-1 against the DPR.

For 24 hours there had been registered no less than 9 cases of violation of the ceasefire by the Ukrainian side, During the night Donetsk survived one of the heaviest shellings: the Ukrainian artillery hit all the districts of the city using all the range of weapons - howitzers, mortars, SPAMs, tank guns, MANPADs Grad. The punitive also used incendiary ammunition again. Another column of reinforcements arrived in Donetsk. Recruits of Givi’s battalion took the oath of allegiance to the DPR. The backbone of the battalion originated from Slavyansk where they fought near Yampol. After that the battalion fought in Ilovaysk. At the moment it was the most efficient battalion of the militia holding the Donetsk airport. For the first time after the summer Lugansk was subjected to artillery and mortar shellings. In spite of it refugees started to return to the city; at border points there were queues of people returning home. Intense battles and shellings went on along the entire line of contact along the river Seversky Donets. In Mariupol in Primorsky district there were several heavy explosions. In Avdeevka an unknown person threw the Ukrainian flag from the roof of the Town Hall, after which, unfortunately, he was captured by the punitives. In Kharkov a recruitment office in Ordzhonikidze district was fired at from a HPG. In Kharkov in the cafe Wall in Rymarskaya St, a usual place of meeting for members of the local Right Sector, there was a heavy explosion. According to the latest data, 11 persons were injured. In the Kharkov region partizans undermined a freight train while it was moving; rails were damaged in the township Novopokrovka in the Chuguev area.

The international organisation Human Rights Watch confirmed the use of incendiary ammunition in Ukraine. During a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers the Defence Minister announced that the Ukrainian army was carrying out deployment and preparing to the hostilities. The Ukrainian military shelled the locality Frunze from MANPADS Grad, SPAMs, howitzers and MANPADs Uragan as well as the locality Slavyanoserbsk where shells hit a First Aid station, a children camp, a SberBank office and residential areas. The Ukrainian artillery shelled the territory of the Svyato-Iversk nunnery, the railway station and Putilovka district in Donetsk with incendiary mines. In Mariupol the commandment of the National Guard kept using civil objects for military purposes: the kindergarten N142 was closed and a base of the National Guard was created in it. In the sea near Mariupol, without 20 mile zone there was a heavy explosion. According to one of versions, the explosion was caused by ammunition blasting on a patrol boat of the MFU of Ukraine. In the locality Volodarskoye, controlled by the Ukrainian military, there was an accident caused by Ukrainian soldiers. At a crossroad a truck Ural didn't give way to a car in which a man and a woman were travelling. The woman died from her injuries.

There were battles practically at all key parts of the front in both the DPR and LPR. However, there weren’t significant changes in the front line: the Ukrainian military tried to hold their position, the Army of Novorossia advanced operatively in the area of suburbs of Donetsk, along the road Bakhmutka and in the area of the town Schastye. The October district of Donetsk was shelled with incendiary mines whereas the intensity of battles for the Donetsk airport decreased somewhat after the militia had taken the control tower and the building of the firehouse under control. Carrying on the operation of surrounding the town the militia came up to the north-eastern suburb of Schastye. In the locality Stanitsa Luganskaya, a divided or, rather, neutral township, local Cossacks stole a tank of the MFU. At night in Kharkov there was a series of explosions which were heard in the Comintern, Frunze, Moscow districts as well as in the township Communist.

A planned provocation of the Ukrainian military and the mass media took place in Avdeevka. The Ukrainian artillery shelled the area of the Donetsk airport and, right after that, the only 14-storey house in Avdeevka - from the direction to Yasinovataya liberated recently by the DPR army. In the yard of the house there was a well where local residents took water, so at the moment of the shelling there were quite many people. The shell hit a flat on the 11th floor; windows in other flats shattered. Before the shelling a camera crew of the CTV and the 1+1 channels filmed a queue at the well, then they left the place but after the shelling turned up on the spot faster than firemen. In Melitopol a raging crowd of “conscious” residents, together with the Right Sector, attacked a guy who had pronounced the word Novorossia forbidden in the town. ‘Just wait - Novorossia will come’, he said. In the hostilities a lot of things depended on units. There was a truce between the militia and the 92nd brigade: they weren't attacked by the militia and got temporarily “blind” when the militia moved. When they were replaced by other units - the 80th brigade or territorial battalions - everything changed. In the frontline Pervomaysk there was introduced a rationing system for bread: 200 g per person. There had been neither pensions nor other social payments yet, unlike in Lugansk and Krasnodon.

Denis Pushilin, the DPR representative at the negotiations in Minsk, stated a need of a new convocation of the Minsk group with the participation of representatives of the DPR, LPR, OSCE, Ukraine and Russia. The hostilities mainly unfolded in the area of Pesky, Avdeevka, Petrovka, Krasnogorovka, Mariynka and, as usual, in the area of the Donetsk airport and the October district as well as along the road Bakhmutka and at the Debaltsevo and Mariupol directions. The Ukrainian artillery shelled localities of Donbass five times. Donetsk was shelled with incendiary ammunition six times, which resulted in 8 residential houses destroyed and burnt, electricity supply absent at 6 transformer substations the restoration of which was difficult due to the risk of repeat shellings. In the Donetsk airport the militiamen of the battalion Somali put up the flag of the DPR on the runway. On the fire tower they also put up the flag of their battalion under which they had been fighting since the very beginning of the hostilities. Attack groups of the militia cleared out fortified positions of the Ukrainian occupants on the outskirts of Pesky and near Avdeevka. The militia received automatic mortars Vasilyok. The Ukrainian army attacked Stanitsa Luganskaya (the LPR). The attack was repelled by the LPR units. Soldiers of the LPR army carried out a special operation to suppress the checkpoint N29 of the Ukrainian troops on the road Bakhmutka; the checkpoints N31 and N29 were blocked. In the Lugansk region there was an explosion in the mine Pervomayskaya due to artillery shellings. The explosion destroyed a substation which resulted in disruption of electricity supply of the enterprise and the mine flooded. There were taken measures to evacuate miners from under the ground. In the area of Perevalsk in the Lugansk region there was being restored a gas pipeline which would fully provide the DPR and LPR with the “blue fuel”. In liberated Zhdanovka the local residents held a People's Court on accomplices of the punitives who had given away their countrymen to Kiev occupants. Viktor Yalovega from Hefteyugansk in Siberia had driven 4 thousand kilometres to deliver humanitarian aid to the DPR. The Russian farmer brought vegetables grown in his own kitchen garden, clothes, footwear and medicines. He brought more than 700 kg of aid altogether.

Arseny Yatsenyuk, the Prime Minister of Ukraine, announced that gas and electricity supply to the areas controlled by the DPR and LPR wouldn't be disrupted but pensions and social payments to residents of these areas would be withheld as a payment for energy. A coal supplier from SAR refused new contracts with Ukraine. Ukraine started importing metallurgical coke from China. Three military from the Donetsk and Odessa regions were sentenced to 7-year imprisonment for their having deserted in May. In Volnovakha on the territory of the neurology department of the city clinic engineering works were carried out: protective blocks and tools blackout were installed and trenches were prepared for the Ukrainian troops. The Ukrainian occupants mined the entire green belt along the road Mariupol-Mangush, putting local residents in mortal danger as the former didn’t bother to put up signs warning of the presence of mines. An electrician from the town Gornyak situated on the territory of the DPR was arrested by the Ukrainian occupants for having worked as a taxi driver during the referendum on the independence of Donbass. He had taken people from polling stations to their homes, for which he was being beaten, starved and drowned in a wet cellar for 11 days.

The Kiev punitives shelled localities of Novorossia and positions of the militia no less than 13 times. In the Donetsk airport the MFU made a massive attack at the position The Fire Tower. In their advance there were used tanks, APCs, mortars and incendiary mines. The attack resulted in the total destruction of the tower and its belonging to no one. The disposition of the MFU and MFN remained the same: the new terminal was occupied by the soldiers of the DPR whereas the old one was under control of battalions of the National Guard. Gorlovka was shelled by the punitives from MANPADs Grad. A child got his head torn off. Six people were killed and many others were gravely injured. An entire family was killed: father and two children died on the spot and mother was taken to hospital. At that time on the territory on the town there was working the OSCE commission checking how the Minsk agreements on ceasefire worked. Pervomaysk was struck from the artillery from the direction of Troytskoye. Shells got into the building of a local maternity house. The intensive care department was totally destroyed and a NEWBORN was injured by shrapnels. The MFU had been destroying Pervomaysk non-stop for 35 days. There had been up to 80 hits a day into residential houses, kindergartens and schools. But residents kept returning home. A reconnaissance group of the DPR carried out a special operation in the locality Kamenka, which resulted in capturing the flag of the 101st brigade Kiev of the special guard regiment of the General Staff of Ukraine. The loss of the flag is the highest disgrace for the military. The DPR and LPR authorities stated that they were ready to sell coal to Ukraine only after full prepayment. The DPR started to pay social benefits for children. In the DPR there were arrested three ministers of the government of the Republic, including the Fuel and Energy Minister.

Dutch specialists started to remove the wreckages of the Malaysian Boeing from the spot of the crash. The President Poroshenko signed the decree introducing the total economic blockade of Donbass and ordered to remove all state enterprises from the territory of Donbass uncontrolled by Kiev and stop all banking operations there. The Ukrainian punitives de-conserved giant Soviet howitzers Pion and brought them to the punitive operation zone. There was also some information about concentrating a large group of the Ukrainian troops in Artyomovsk. Besides 13 tanks, 15 anti-air systems and 6 MANPADs Grad and Smerch there were also 7 missile launching systems Tochka-U, which was particularly alarming. According to a source in the local SSU, in Dnepropetrovsk 5-10 persons were arrested daily on the charges of “separatism”, “terrorism" etc, mostly for comments in social networks and just speaking frequently about Novorossia on the phone.

Alexey Karyakin, the Head of the LPR People's Council, announced that the LPR authorities should not sign any agreements with Kiev while the decree on the economic blockade of Donbass was in operation. The seventh humanitarian convoy from Russia arrived in Donbass. The militia’s offensive announced by the Ukrainian military didn't take place. The war in Donbass became protracted; only an offensive of one of the parties could change the current status quo on the fronts. There were no less than 12 shellings of localities of Novorossia and the militia's positions from the Ukrainian punitives. As a result of a shelling of Donetsk the medical centre for children with cerebral palsy and the children surgery department were damaged; in the evening the Donetsk airport was shelled again with incendiary ammunition. In the area of the airport the punitives destroyed an orthodox monastery. There went on intensive battles with Ukrainian Nazis in the areas of the Yasinovataya checkpoint, Avdeevka, Tonenkoye; there were used light weapons, automatic, machine and tank guns. The Ukrainian military shelled objects of the Donetsk railway in Donetsk and Avdeevka from the artillery. Due to active fightings on the territory of Avdeevka the DPR Ministry of Transport made a decision to suspend the railway station Avdeevka to save life and health of the railway staff. Near Lugansk there went on fierce battles in the area of Stanitsa Luganskaya. Due to the active hostilities the transport communication between Lugansk and the Stanitsa Luganskaya area in the LPR was stopped. The militia's offensive at Schastye, in fact, failed but attempts the chase junta away from Stanitsa Luganskaya intensified. In Stakhanov there was an artillery strike at the ferroalloys plant; the plant was partly destroyed, in particular, the roof of one of workshops was pierced. There were three explosions at the Ilyich plant in Mariupol. In Kharkov people kept being detained on any pretext and without any charges. A person was tortured in the SSU and planted at a police station. Not having received any medical aid he died before an ambulance arrived. The doctors could only pronounce him dead from a beating. The authorities encouraged torture and murder of civilians and the SSU staff did’t hesitate to use excessive force during interrogations. In Kramatorsk a driver of a bus N1 played a song with the lyrics “Novorossia is strong, Novorossia is cool”. When a Ukrainian journalist asked him whether he was listening to the radio or his own records the driver answered that it was his own records. The journalist asked him to stop that song, which was followed by the driver’s question ‘Why should I do it?’ The fate of the driver remained unknown after that.

If the militia were to advance the EU would introduce new sanctions against Russia. The Human Rights Watch announced that it was the Ukrainian troops responsible for the use of cluster bombs in Donetsk. The army of Ukraine was preparing a large provocation against Russia. At the Crimean direction there was being concentrated a large group of Ukrainian troops containing about 300 artillery systems, including MANPADs Grad and 15 missile launching systems Tochka-U. This group was being created near Kherson, on the Arabat spit. There were also registered Ukrainian sabotage and reconnaissance groups and the Right Sector became more active, especially among the Tatar youth. Specialists of psychiatric centres of Ukraine where veterans from Donbass were most often taken reported that 8 of 10 ex-soldiers complained about the loss of interest in life and panic attacks. The condition of Ukrainian veterans was called "Donbass syndrome” and compared to the behaviour of veterans of Afghanistan, Viet-Nam and Iraq. In Druzhkovka there was a conflict between the MFU and the National Guard which ended up in a shooting from grenade launchers. It resulted in 7 people dead and about 10 injured.

The Head of the Lugansk People's Republic Igor Plotnitsky addressed to the President of Ukraine Petr Poroshenko with an open letter in which he proposed him, following the example of the ancient Slavic leaders and glorious Cossack atamans, come together in a duel. That who won would dictate the other side his conditions. There were registered 19 cases of violating ceasefire from the Ukrainian side. Donetsk was shelled 16 times. The Ukrainian punitives shelled Gorlovka. The shelling resulted in a damage of 110 kV equipment of a substation and residents of the townships Kondratyevo, Kayutovo and Poklonsk of the Kalinin area were left without electricity. The electricity supply was also disrupted at 5 boilers, which left residential houses without both electricity and heat. The heating couldn't also be provided to a nursing home, two schools, an orphanage and a boarding school. A Ukrainian checkpoint was destroyed near Avdeevka. The militia’s MANPADs hit Ukrainian positions southward from Debaltsevo. The militia advanced close to the Ukrainian checkpoint N29. Aphanasy Cosse, a Greek volunteer, was killed during a shelling of the Donetsk airport. For several months he had been collecting materials for the White Book of crimes of junta's troops in Donbass. In Donetsk in the micro-district Shiroky there was discovered no less than 20 million shredded hryvnas.

The US State Secretary Biden paid a visit to Kiev. The General Staff of the MFU gave instructions to military commissariats of the country to provide, as soon as possible, information on all Ukrainian citizens staying in the reserve and trained as a commander of tank, SPAM, anti-air system as well as a gunner for their following mobilisation. The General Staff was planning to carry out another wave of mobilisation from mid-December to the beginning of January. On the border with the Crimea there was registered a certain activity of junta's troops working on creating long-term defensive positions. The Ukrainian military received new weapons - apparently, crawlers Gjatsynt or something of a longer-range than cannons and Grads of the militia. All medical units in Konstantinovka, Krasnoarmeysk and Volnovakha are clogged with Ukrainian military over all admissible norms. In Volnovakha there was a strong dispersion of the National Guard's MANPAD and several shells landed near the MFU's positions. Without hesitating the MFU fired a volley at the National Guard's positions. There were some casualties. In the town Rubezhnoye controlled by the Ukrainian military soldiers of the volunteer battalion Aydar, while on patrol, shot a driver of a Zhiguly for his refusal to stop. On the territories of Novorossia occupied by the Nazis the Kiev punitives tightened skip mode; all devices were thoroughly checked: social networks, the program Zello, Skype contacts, the browser history, email, traces of removed programs, photos and videos. On finding any traces of activity in favour of Novorossia Nazis took away documents at best; more often they detained people until clarification, after which people disappeared. The SSU officially admitted that in the Kharkov region there were up to 10 sabotage and reconnaissance groups of partizans of the Kharkov People's Republic.

There were no less than 12 shellings of localities of Novorossia and the militia's positions from the Ukrainian side. The militiamen continued forming and preparing the army; there was active training of recruits, the army units were formed and control of them was improved. There were also strengthened defensive positions in the area of the Donetsk airport which was shelled by the MFU on the daily basis. A number of residents of Kharkov, the first capital of Ukraine, fought in the ranks of the Army of Novorossia; there were plans to create a separated Kharkov division. In Donbass 650 Ukrainian soldiers were kept captive by the militia; a part of them came over to the side of the latter. In the LPR there was discovered a cache with weapons of Ukrainian nationalists. In Gorlovka there were opened social canteens with free meals for soldiers, disabled, mothers of large families, single mothers and volunteers. In the DPR there was created the Pension Fund. 21 November was announced as the Day of Donor in Donetsk as hospitals lacked blood for performing operations to militiamen, injured people and children. The Ukrainian punitives could resume the use of reconnaissance aircraft in the ​​ATO zone. An aircraft An-30 (the board 87) of the Air Forces of Ukraine was overhauled and put into operation. One of such planes had been shot down by the militia near Slavyansk in summer. 11 km away from Donetsk there arrived 2 tank companies of the MFU bearing symbols of the DPR, which meant that there were being prepared some provocations. A woman from Debaltsevo was shut up on the air of the channel Inter when she declared that the town had been shelled by the Ukrainian army's Grads. In a small township of the Poltava region, at night, some unknown people shot dead the family of a militiaman - his sister and her husband, his mother and a niece of the age of a month and a half - that had been staying there since the beginning of the conflict. Radicals of the battalion Dnieper seized a refinery in Odessa after the court had made a decision to arrest the volumes of oil in the storages of the plant. In Odessa “patriots” suffering the Maidown of brain in the final stage detected a Russian nuclear strike on the city at night. They took for it an increased seismic activity which turned out to be echoes of an earthquake of the intensity of 5.8 on the Richter scale, which had taken place in Moldavia.

There were no less than 25 shellings of localities of Novorossia and the militia’s positions by the Ukrainian side, 22 of them were carried out at the Donetsk direction. In the area of Debaltsevo the front configuration itself, extremely promising for the MFU’s offensive and extremely forbidding for their defence, allowed testing the power of the MFN's artillery. In the area of Gorlovka the extremely forbidding for the MFN's defence configuration was extremely promising for their offensive. Gorlovka loomed over both Debaltsevo and Avdeevka. Waiting for a strike from there (even if it weren't to happen) strongly bound the reserves of the MFU at this sector of the front. Active “searches” of sabotage and reconnaissance groups of the MFN in the area of Avdeevka and Pesky as well as the activity of SPAMs of the MFN hinted that the beginning of fighting could be quite close. Anyway, the MFN firmly held the military initiative in their hands whereas the Donetsk airport that had turned into a “fetish” for the MFU was just increasing losses on both sides. The militia of Gorlovka, though not only them, was on the verge of a riot; everyone was looking forward to beginning the offensive but the order to attack wouldn't come. At the Lugansk direction the activity of the MFN along the border significantly increased. Due to a shelling of the MFU more than 170 miners were blocked in the Kirov mine in Makeevka. They had to spend all the night underground as the electricity supply of the mine was resumed only at 6 am. There was some information from Slavyansk and Kramatorsk about intensification of partizan attacks of the militia and corresponding anti-partizan measures of the punitives. There was data about both single attacks of sabotage groups of the militia with light weapons and the use of artillery. A curfew was introduced in these towns. In Odessa the facade of the building of the RSA was decorated, via a laser projector, with the flag of Novorossia.

The CyberBerkut got an access to American officials’ documents during Joseph Biden's visit to Kiev on 20-21 November. After studying just a part of them there was an impression that the army of Ukraine was one of the units of the US Military Forces. The amount of funding was shocking by its scale as was the decline of Ukrainian troops by its depth. In Mariupol there was stopped a train communication with Volnovakha. The State Administration of Railway Transport Ukrzaliznytsya admitted a possibility of disruption of passenger trains in the ATO zone. In November Ukrzaliznytsya already limited train paths Kiev-Lugansk and Odessa-Lugansk till Red Liman (the DPR) due to the hostilities. 44 soldiers of the 95th brigade returned from the Donetsk airport to Kiev. According to them, the positions of the MFU in the airport were practically completely surrounded. In Mariupol Ukrainian soldiers in a drunken stupor hijacked a truck fleet. All minibuses disappeared from the garage of a motor company. In the morning the entire route turned out to be paralysed. At the request of the military command the town authorities of Mariupol decided to ban the sale of alcohol to people in uniform. In Kurakhovo soldiers of the National Guard of Ukraine robbed the biggest hypermarket of household appliances in the town in the plain daylight. All the staff, including the director, was taken to an unknown destination. A day and a half later they were found, severely beaten, in the town Selidovo; the director had gotten two knife wounds. The police and the authorities of the town left this episode unnoticed; the channel Inter refused to show it in the news, having proposed though to change the names of the towns and present the culprits as terrorists. In Artyomovsk, controlled by the Ukrainian military, on the territory of the military unit A2730 of the MFU there was a strong explosion resulted in 4 soldiers injured. The accident was caused by careless use of a special vehicle in a restricted area. In Ukraine there was registered an extreme activity of “phone partizans”. During one day the law enforcement agencies received reports of seven "mined" objects in several cities of the country. As a result, about 6,000 people were evacuated from administrative and shopping buildings. In Kiev about 5,000 people were evacuated from the building of a large shopping centre. Besides, the police of the capital checked the information about mining the Mail Post Office and a branch of the OschadBank. About 800 people were evacuated from the building of the Kharkov Water Canal; the staff of the Ternopol Water Canal also had to interrupt their work because of checking for a bomb. In Lvov a bank was “mined”; in Kharkov explosives were being looked for in a shop of the ATB situated on the railway station square. “Phone partizans” also reported about mining the railway station in Poltava and the building of the Kharkov RSA.

There were no less than 12 shellings of localities of Novorossia and positions of the militia from the Ukrainian punitives; intensity of shellings of residential areas of the capital of the DPR increased. The situation on the fronts of Novorossia dramatically deteriorated. Shellings of frontline localities by the Ukrainian military intensified. The total number of Ukrainian troops in the area of Konstantinovka near Donetsk exceeded 6,000 people; in the near future it was expected to increase up to 9,000. Ukrainian commanders of the occupation units were ordered to withdraw their subordinates from leave and promptly return them to the front. In Makeevka a volley of a MANPAD Uragan landed on the Kirov mine and nearby townships. In Donetsk there was buried Alexander Agaphonov who had been killed by the SSU after brutal tortures in Kharkov. Alexander hadn't participated in the hostilities and had nothing to do with the militia. He had had a baby; radicals from the SSU had just disliked him. All enterprises in the DPR were to re-register before 25 December. In Kharkov there was a strong explosion. It happened near the fence of the military unit A1215 on the Cold Hill at about midnight.

The Investigative Committee of the RF opened a criminal case on the fact of killing civilians in Donbass during the shelling of 27 November and also on the fact of obstructing lawful activities of Evgenia Zmanovskaya, a Russian journalist from the LifeNews, in Kiev. The Head of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine Sergey Kvit who had been appointed to this post after the February coup supported the idea of changing the term ‘The Great Patriotic War’ into ‘The Second World War’ in new textbooks on history of Ukraine. Total losses in the Ukrainian troops during the punitive operation in the South-East of the country since 3 April had exceeded 20 thousands and were approaching 21 thousands. In the Donetsk airport the MFU set a building with their own soldiers on fire by mistake; for several hours it was burning together with soldiers in there. The latter couldn’t leave it without getting under heavy fire. Dnepropetrovsk was intensively preparing to a “storm”. Entries to the city were fortified; the number of guards of important objects was doubled. On the highway the armed military stopped cars and checked documents of drivers they considered suspicious. The Ukrainian military shelled from a mortar a bus that was stopped at a checkpoint in the area of Stanitsa Luganskaya to check documents. Two more mines exploded at the checkpoint after the arrival of an ambulance. On the territory controlled by Kiev soldiers of the punitive battalion Aydar stopped all trucks carrying food to the LPR and DPR, referring to the order on food blockade of Novorossia. In the Primorsky court of Odessa there started hearings on the case of participants of events of 2 May in the city centre. 24 persons were held liable. The court took the prosecutor's side and prolonged their prison term which expired 1 December for 60 more days. The concept of charges didn't change: those who had died during the clashes in Greek St had been killed by their own associates.

In Novorossia there were registered 9 cases of violating the ceasefire by the punitives. There was registered a significant increase in strength of the group of the Ukrainian army in the area of the locality Konstantinovka, a revitalisation of movement of Ukrainian armoured vehicles in the southern direction of the DPR and in the direction of the road Bakhmutka in the LPR as well as a noticeable increase in the near fights in both the LPR near the locality Stanitsa Luganskaya and the DPR near the locality Pesky and at the Avdeevka direction. In the Donetsk airport the armoured vehicles of the MFU tried to get through into the airport, to the positions of the militia, from different directions. The attack of the Ukrainian military was successfully repelled. Alexander Khodakovsky, the Secretary of the DPR Security Council, informed that the militia let humanitarian aid through to the Ukrainian military in the Donetsk airport. No less than 5 people were injured in Donetsk when a car with repairmen of a gas pipeline blew up on a anti-tank mine. The bodies the dead Ukrainian punitives from the 24th mechanised brigade, who had gotten into the Zelenopolye pocket in July, were exhumed by the militia and passed, via volunteers, to their relatives for burial. Mozgovoy's brigade remained in full force and wasn't to be disbanded. The DPR Central Bank opened its branches in cities and towns of the Republic; in Makeevka three of them were opened and started to work. The Military Forces of Ukraine were increasing an attack group of the Ukrainian army at all directions and preparing personnel and artillery positions to carry out combat operations in winter conditions. Besides, there were reports on fortifying defence positions of the Ukrainian army along the frontline as well as laying out minefields. The CyberBerkut confirmed data of a leak from a closed meeting of the NSDC of Ukraine about the losses of the Ukrainian army, which were 12,000 of the killed, 19,000 of the injured and almost 5,000 of the missing. The Ukrainian border guards had lost control over more than 409 km of the border with Russia - all of it on the territory of the DPR and a part of it on the territory of the LPR. Meanwhile the Kherson region was fenced off of the Crimea with ditches, trenches with dugouts, barbed wire and minefields; on the roads at checkpoints no one having the Russian passport was allowed to enter the territory of Ukraine. In Mariupol the punitives fired at the sky again in attempts to shoot down drones. During a shelling of Donetsk from Pesky on Ukrainian SPAMs there were set flags of the DPR to make local civilians believe that it was the MFN shelling the city. Alexander Taran, a major of the Ukrainian army, who had returned from the captivity stated that there weren’t Russian troops in Donbass. Igor Bezler made a statement about weapons that he had been supplied with by Ukrainian officials, in particular, by Petr Poroshenko. He also reminded his Ukrainian suppliers that they still owed him 450,000 hryvnas worth weapons. A shelling of the locality Chernukhino where a colony of strict regime was situated resulted in several shells exploding close to the colony and damaging the fence. Four convicts of serious crimes escaped through the resulting break. Soldiers of the 20th territorial battalion Dnepropetrovsk and 93rd mechanised brigade quartered in the area of Tryokhizbyonka were looting the locality, taking warm clothes and food from the civilians. When the latter complained the commanders of Ukrainian looters explained the behaviour of their subordinates by military need. Alexander Kuchinsky, a well-known journalist and the editor of the Donetsk newspaper Criminal Express, and his wife were brutally killed in Slavyansk occupied by the Ukrainian troops. The family was killed with a knife in their summerhouse in the township Bogorodichnoye. The National Bank of Ukraine ordered branches of Ukrainian banks in the LPR to take away or destroy material resources. Attempts to destroy cash in branches of Ukrainian banks in the LPR became massive. Building the Wall on the Russian-Ukrainian border was stopped. At the Zaporozhye nuclear power station the system of electric protection turned off the power block N3, after which repair works were started there. In Kharkov activists of the Right Sector and the Eastern corps organised a march in the memory of those killed in Donbass. About 200 participants of the march walked from the Constitution square to the General Consulate of the RF which was cordoned off by the police. The participants of the march held a meeting at the building of the Consulate after which they threw several firecrackers towards the building.

On 30 November the eighth humanitarian convoy from Russia arrived in Donetsk. There were no less than 8 shellings of localities of Novorossia and positions of the militia from the Ukrainian side. After Shuvrich had admitted 14,000 of the killed from April to November junta had a group of 60-65 thousands under arms in the first and second lines, which was opposed by a 33-35 thousand group of the militia, excluding the potential of “voentorg”. The MFU kept increasing an attack group at the Donetsk direction. A battalion tactical group of up to three hundred people was transported to Novogrodovka, 35 km north-westward from Donetsk, it was strengthened by two tank companies and a mortar battery. A division of MANPADs Grad (9 systems) was transported to Svatovo; their artillery positions were placed between the administrative building of the Gorgas and a warehouse of chemical fertilisers and guarded by a unit of the National Guard of 100 people specially brought there. Ten MANPADs Uragan arrived in the village Shakhtyorskoye (51 km westward from Donetsk) from the locality Great Novosyolka. A train with armoured vehicles (up to 20 ICVs) arrived at the station Kupyansk-Uzlovoye (90 km south-eastward from Kharkov) as well as a column of 30 vehicles. In the LPR the most active hostilities took place near the locality Stanitsa Luganskaya. There the militia and the Ukrainian military entered into an open confrontation; there were battles on the outskirts of the town. The Head of the DPR signed the decree on social payments to citizens entitled to pensions. The networks of supermarkets Amstor, Ashan and Brusnichka stopped accepting payments by card; only cash was to be used while paying. At the moment it was only the supermarket Caravan still accepting cards; there were some queues but not very long. It wasn't only pensions and salaries that Kiev had blocked but paying by cards in shops and at petrol stations as well. In Odessa partizans put up the flag of Novorossia on the Zhukov monument that had been destroyed by Maidan supporters.
