Five Ukrainian military were killed and another seven wounded in an attempt to break through the position of the DPR forces on the southern front. It was reported by Eduard Basurin, the Vice-Commander of the operational command of the DPR, at a briefing.

’In the area of the locality of Vodyanoye, situated in the «gray zone» and occupied by the enemy, its forces of up to 20 men attempted, under the cover of mortar fire, to break through into the territory of the Republic, which caused yet another meaningless losses in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. During the shootout, the Ukrainian side lost five men killed and seven wounded,’ said Basurin.

According to the command, the DPR military casualties totaled three men wounded.
