Erdogan: I offered Russia to trade in national currencies

Turkey has offered Russia to move to trade settlements in national currencies, without the participation of the dollar, It was declared by the Turkish leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

‘I offered (the Russian President Vladimir) Putin the following: let us have our trade in the local currencies. For all that I have bought from you, I'll pay in rubles, and for everything you buy from me, you'll pay in Turkish lira,’ Erdogan said.

In addition, the Republic of Turkey has also offered Iran and China to move to settlements in national currencies, and, according to the President Erdogan, these countries have accepted this offer.

The Turkish President also urged his citizens to transfer personal foreign currency savings in the Turkish lira, or gold, explaining that savings in the currency of another country, as well as foreign currency itself, are a lever of pressure on the country.
