Ukrainian Ambassador to United States complained about Obama’s inhibiting lethal weapons supply to Kiev

Ukraine and the United States could establish joint production of weapons.

It was stated by Valery Chaly, the Ambassador of Ukraine to the United States, on Ukrainian television.

‘We need to seriously talk today about co-production of both weapons and ammunition. We are already producing many things that can not only be used in the defense of the country, but be offered in foreign markets. If our American partners see a commercial interest in this, it will be a success. It is in the sphere of production where we need to transfer a talk of lethal weaponry. If the partners come into this sphere, they will see us as a key country in the region,’ said Chaly.

According to him, so far the supply of lethal weapons to Ukraine has been slowed down by the Obama administration.

‘At the political level, the Congress has supported us: both Democrats and Republicans. We have been allocated 50 million for lethal weapons. That is, there are both political and financial decisions. I will be frank, this position is not supported by the White House. I will not disclose the reasons, but there is a certain logic in it,’ said Chaly.
