During the session of the Lvov regional council, nationalists broke into the session room and threw two smoke bombs in it.

This is reported by the local newspaper Lvivnews. It is reported that several dozen people who had earlier picketed the building of the regional council, had broken the doors of the session hall and burst in.

The men began to throw smoke bombs, after which two floors of the building were drowned in acrid smoke. Due to these events, the chairman of the regional council, Alexander Ganushchin, declared the session closed.

Now the deputies, together with the picketers, are in the session room, where the letter shout out nationalist slogans, like ‘Together and to the end!’. The day before, a number of nationalist organizations called on the people of Lvov to protest, demanding that the regional council appeal to the President of Ukraine, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the Verkhovnaya Rada of Ukraine to immediately sign the Law of Ukraine ‘On Amnesty in 2016’.

Among other requirements of the protesters, there is the nationalization of the Russian capital in Ukraine, the termination of the constant growth of tariffs for utility bills, the extension of the current moratorium on the sale of land until the settlement of the economic and socio-political situation in the country. The «Svoboda» («Freedom») party, the «National Corps», the «Right Sector» and the «Sokol» participated in the riots.
