The Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation initiated three new criminal cases on the facts of artillery shelling by the Ukrainian military of the civilian population of Donbass. This was reported by the official representative of the RF IC, Svetlana Petrenko.

According to the investigators, ‘on May 22 and 24, the military of the Armed Forces and the National Guard of Ukraine, in violation of the Protocol on the cessation of the use of weapons in the southeast of Ukraine and the Memorandum to it, as well as the provisions of the Convention on the Protection of Civilian Persons in Time of War and Additional Protocol II to it, carrying out deliberately criminal orders of the higher-ranking officials of the Defense Ministry of Ukraine, conducted the targeted artillery shelling, with heavy weapons that have high damaging properties, of the civilian objects which are not military targets in the locality of Golmovsky in the Nikitovsky district of the city of Gorlovka, in the locality of Yakovlevka in the Yasinovataya district of the Donetsk region and in the locality of Trudovskiye in the Petrovsky district of the city of Donetsk’. 

As a result of the shelling, five local residents were wounded.
