The plenipotentiary the the Donetsk People's Republic in the Contact group on Donbass, Denis Pushilin commented on the decision of the court in Moscow to recognize the events in Ukraine in 2014 as a coup d'etat. According to him, this may be the first step on the way to the international community’s realization of the real picture of the events in 2013-2014.

‘I hope that this decision of the court in Moscow will be only the first step on the way to the realization by the international community of the real picture of the events in 2013-2014, and all those responsible for the coup in Ukraine and the subsequent tragedy, will be brought to justice,’ said Pushilin.

Earlier, the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine stated that the decision of the Moscow court on the recognition of the events of 2014 in Kiev as a coup, would not have legal consequences for the country. 

On December 27, the Dorogomilovsky court of Moscow recognized the events of 2014 in Kiev as a coup d'etat.
