Despite the threats of right-wing radicals, during the Immortal Regiment campaign held in Kiev, there was raised the flag of Victory.

The red flag was hoisted when the column of demonstrators was coming to the Eternal Flame in the Park of Eternal Glory. The initiators of the action were activists of the Communist Party, marching in the column formed by the Left Opposition.

The Left Opposition stretched a banner "Parade of winners" and also raised an exact copy of the flag of Victory.

At the same time, the protesters shouted, ‘Kaput to Hitler, Vlassov and Bandera’ and chanted ‘Fascism will not pass’.

‘There was the World War II and the Great Patriotic War was the main part of it. Despite the decision of the Verkhovnaya Rada, we are celebrating the victory in the Great Patriotic War,’ said the protesters.

The nationalists present loudly promised the protesters that ‘these flowers will be brought to your graves tomorrow’.

It should be noted that equipped National Guard soldiers who were just watching all this, were actually standing on the graves of the heroes of the Great Patriotic War who fell in battle in the defense and liberation of Kiev.
