If Ukraine tries to secure peace in Donbass at any cost, it will mean only a postponed bloody war.

It was stated by Pavel Zhebrivsky, the governor of the Donetsk region, appointed by Poroshenko, who said that he would very much like to peacefully return Donbass to Ukraine, in an interview with the Kiev magazine «New Times».

’In fact, we need, in particular, to also prepare to the military option of returning these territories. We need to build an army, modern, modern, equipped, motivated and trained. We don’t need necessarily to use it, as if there is such an army, it will once again allow to try to act in a peaceful way, as, in fact, people are afraid of the strong and enter into negotiations with the strong,’ said the official.

‘I look at the villains who say on TV that we need at all costs to secure the so-called peace. No. The worst thing we can do is to legitimize chicken colonels or guards on the market, like Plotnitsky. In such a way we will not return control over the part of the Ukrainian territory, but bring this infection to the whole territory. This is the worst option which could be done. This is not the peace. This is a bloody war postponed for a while,’ said the governor.

The publication also asked him whether Ukraine had the necessary forces to provide resistance to Russia. 

‘They say that with their Iskanders, limited nuclear strikes on Ukraine, they could occupy much of our state. But they know well that from behind every corner, from beneath each tree, we will be killing them. Not by thousands, not by dozens, but by hundreds of thousands. That incredible guerrilla movement, in the best sense of the word, will destroy all that they have imagined,’ threatened Zhebrivsky.
