‘A possible offensive of Kiev in Donbass will result in the ermination of the Minsk negotiations, there will be no «Minsk-3»,’ said the Head of the Donetsk People's Republic Alexander Zakharchenko.
‘On the one hand, according to our intelligence, on the other side of the front line everything is ready for an attack. On the other hand, in political terms, it will be the undermining of the Minsk process by Kiev. Moreover, Kiev’s offensive will close the Minsk process. However, is it not what Kiev has been seeking since the moment of signing the Complex of measures? Is it not Kiev delaying decisions in accordance with the Complex of measures and, at the same time, stepping up attacks on our territory?’ said the Head of the Republic.
‘So, on the both hands, military and political, Kiev is ready to try again to solve our conflict by force,’ he said.
According to the Head of the DPR, it is confirmed by the obvious fact that the international situation of Kiev is becoming increasingly problematic.
‘The French Senate votes against the anti-Russian sanctions, then the Belgian Parliament declares its readiness to do the same. Then Donald Trump states that the Crimea has chosen itself its way with Russia, then the French deputies say the same thing in the Crimea. Then the Polish parliament makes a decision that the "Volyn massacre" was the Ukrainian genocide against the Polish people. Then Russia withdraws its ambassador friendly to Poroshenko, then the United States withdraw their ambassador who was a real «mummy» to Poroshenko,’ explained Alexander Zakharchenko.
‘All this happens against the background of catastrophic fall of the economics and the living standards of ordinary Ukrainians. All this happens against the background of the fact that the rating of Poroshenko himself and his Maidan associates falls so low that it tends to zero,’ he added.
According to the Head of the DPR, against such an unfavorable background, the resumption of war in Donbass may be the only way for Poroshenko and his clique to stay in power and avoid accountability for their crimes, including war ones.
‘That is to say, the whole thing boils down to the fact that Poroshenko, like a cornered rat, will attack Donbass. He may do it himself, or with someone else's hands. For instance, he may give the command to the punitive battalions to provoke the renewal of the conflict, and then put the blame for it on them. But the result will be all the same, the war,’ he emphasized.
‘We do not want a war, because it is not TV from which we, unlike those living in the former Ukraine, know what a war is. But if Kiev once again attacks us, I can tell you one thing - let them not complain afterwards when they are retreating to Kiev. There will not be «Minsk-3»,’ said Alexander Zakharchenko.
