Having lost the elections of the US President, the «war party» is trying to do everything possible to avoid «thawing» in the relations between the United States and Russia. To this end, they keep stating an aggression or a preparation for aggression on the Russian side, not bothering with evidence.
The US Ambassador to the OSCE, Daniel Baer announced 30,000 soldiers who had arrived recently from Russia to Donbass. At the same time the OSCE mission in Ukraine, representatives of which reside on the territory of the DPR and LPR, did not confirm this statement, so it remains to assume that Daniel Baer draws his information from the Ukrainian media.
The Kiev authorities are ready to support the world's «hawks» in every possible way, as the ultimate loss of Washington's support threatens their physical destruction. In the case they continue the war in Donbass on their own, they will face a military defeat. In the case they implement, under pressure of Europe, the Minsk agreements, they will be immediately destroyed by radical nationalists.
Last week, the Administration of the President of Ukraine Poroshenko reported that the Head of state had managed to finally get through to the President-elect of the United States, and even to discuss with him matters of the ‘continuing strategic cooperation’.
In a press release of Donald Trump’s Staff, however, this conversation was not even mentioned, and what's more, Poroshenko was not invited to the inauguration of the 45th President of the United States, having received only a promise to meet ever the President-elect took the office.
The Kiev authorities urgently need another «Russian aggression» to be back in the role of a «victim» in need of sympathetic attention, comprehensive support and, most importantly, new loans, which the IMF mission again refused to Kiev last week week.
That’s why last week, Donbass felt like back in 2014, with massive bombardments with all types of weapons, the death of civilians and deliberate destruction of infrastructure on the threshold of winter.
In just one week, the Ukrainian military opened fire on the territory of the DPR about 7,000 times, and about half the rounds were made from artillery, tanks, infantry fighting vehicles and heavy mortars, prohibited by the Minsk Agreements.
The situation in the Donetsk segment of the front especially aggravated before the weekend. Only on November 19, the Ukrainian side made more than 1,500 attacks on the territory of the Republic, and on the following day, for the first time since the summer of 2016, Kiev launched about 70 shells of MLRS «Grad».
26 localities along the entire front line came under fire of the Ukrainian army. As a result, there were killed 2 civilians, and totally or partially destroyed 23 houses, mostly in the south of the Republic and in the Donetsk area.
In addition, last week the Ukrainian military made two attempts to break through in the Donetsk segment of the front. Both attempts were repelled by soldiers of the DPR army, and the attackers were pushed back to their original positions, having lost a total of 4 soldiers killed and 13 wounded. At the same time, the ATO headquarters reported a loss of 6 Ukrainian military killed along the entire frontline.
In the shelling and repelling the attacks, the DPR army lost two soldiers killed and two wounded.
The situation in the Lugansk segment of the front also sharply escalated on the eve of the weekend. On November 18, the number of bombardments on the LPR territory by the Ukrainian side almost equalled the number of Ukrainian attacks in the previous week. Kiev mostly opened fire from heavy mortars, grenade launchers and infantry fighting vehicles.
The military authorities of the both Republics declares that the fire from the Ukrainian side was spotted by UAVs, the use of which is permitted in Donbass only to the OSCE mission. In the DPR, in the Donetsk and Mariupol directions, there were recorded, according to the Defense Ministry of the Republic, 11 airborne Ukrainian drones.
The LPR intelligence reported that the Ukrainian military were equipping new strongholds in the «gray» zone, in particular, in the area of the town of Zolotoye, where in October, the forces of the sides to the conflict had been separated by the decision of the Contact Group in Minsk of September 30, 2016.
In addition, to the north of Lugansk, in the «gray» zone, the Ukrainian military equipped a new vantage point for their reconnaissance.
Moreover, last week the President of Ukraine Poroshenko introduced a military and civil administration of Ukraine in the town of Zolotoye. You can only guess that the military administration is doing in the area which was demilitarized, according to recent decisions in Minsk.
On the Ukraine-controlled territory of the Lugansk region Kiev also continues to prepare for using aircraft in the hostilities in Donbass.
According to local residents, at the Lisichansk refinery, located in the south-west of Lugansk, the Ukrainian military are equipping grounds to receive combat helicopters.
Similar grounds are being equipped at the civilian airport in Severodonetsk where is situated the Ukrainian military and civil administration of the Lugansk region. According to the locals, in early November, two fighters of the Ukrainian army, which had been working out flights over Lisichansk, practiced landing on this airfield.
Having already put to work almost all types of weapons on the frontline in Donbass, Kiev continues to deliver there weapons and equipment, from both the rear and the storage sites of weapons prohibited by the Minsk Agreements.
Last week, the OSCE representatives documented the absence at these storage sited of 347 pieces of Ukrainian weapons and equipment, including 12 MLRS «Uragan», 24 MLRS «Grad», over 100 motorized artillery systems, 70 towed artillery pieces, 55 tanks, 20 infantry fighting vehicles and 4 anti-aircraft missile complexes «Osa».
According to the DPR intelligence, to the northern, Gorlovka direction, Kiev delivers mainly rocket artillery, in particular, a division of MLRS «Grad», while in the central, Donetsk, and the southern, Mariupol directions arrive mainly motorized and towed artillery and tanks.
The artillery arrived in the Donetsk segment of the front included a 152mm howitzer «Dana» of Czechoslovakian production.
In addition, last week, in the area of Mariupol, where the main forces of the Ukrainian nationalists and mercenaries are already amassed, arrived another company of the nationalist regiment «Azov», while in the Luhansk segment of the front arrived over 300 black mercenaries, some of whom were dressed in NATO uniforms and armed with sniper rifles Barrett.
The number of Western mercenaries in Donbass is already so great that in the summer, the American flag was raised on the Ukrainian positions in Zaitsevo, at the northern edge of Gorlovka. You can only wonder at its presence on the contact line dividing the parties of the «Ukraine-Russia» conflict, as American and European «hawks» keep calling the war in Donbass.
At the same time, the Ukrainian military, radical nationalists and foreign mercenaries attack rather civilian objects than the position of the Republican Army. Last week, the authorities of the DPR and LPR were forced to reiterate the deliberate destruction by Kiev of the Donbass vital infrastructure, which puts its people on the brink of survival in the view of the coming winter.
In the middle of the past week, the LPR Ministry of State Security made an urgent statement that, according to the intelligence of the Republic, the Ukrainian military had mined the water-cooling canal of the thermal power plant in the town of Schastye located north of Lugansk.
If the canal is undermined, most of the LPR territory, as well as a significant part of the Kiev-controlled territory the Lugansk region, will be de-energized, with the town of Schastye flooded. The authorities of the Republic suggest that Kiev is planning the TPP explosion either as a terrorist attack, followed by accusing the LPR of it, or in case of the Army of the Republic going on offensive.
Yesterday, on November 20, 2016, as a result of a deliberate bombardment by the Ukrainian side, the Donetsk filtering station was de-energized, which caused a disruption of water supply in two large cities located on the both sides of the frontline, and jeopardized the water supply to Donetsk and two towns to the south of the DPR capital.
At the same time, the Ukrainian authorities openly declare that they stimulate their troops to attack peaceful localities of Donbass. According to the Ukrainian Defense Ministry, in 2016 about 8,000 Ukrainian military have already received cash rewards not just for their presence in the ATO area, but for their active participation in the hostilities.
A question of the representative of the Russian Federation to the OSCE, Alexander Lukashevich, why not pay the Ukrainian commanders who respect the ceasefire in the zones of their responsibility, remained unanswered.
At the same time, the already mentioned US Ambassador to the OSCE, Daniel Baer announced a possibility of ‘the joint Russian-terrorist forces’ advance on Mariupol’.
It looks like, at least until the inauguration of the US President-elect on January 20, 2017, the Western «war party» and their Ukrainian puppet will sacrifice any number of civilians of Donbass and the Ukrainian military in order to provoke a response from the Republics, which they will be able to present to the international community as a so long desired «Russian aggression».
The DPR authorities have already announced the «red» danger level in the north-western, western and south-western outskirts of Donetsk.
