Ukrainian fighter: Put ATO participants to trial and whole of Ukraine will become ATO zone

While fighting in Donbass, nationalist battalions were forced to break the laws of peacetime.

It was written by Dmitry Babkin, the commander of the platoon "Donbass" of the National Guard, on his Facebook page.

‘If participants in the ATO are tried according to the laws and codes of peacetime, the territory of the whole country will become the ATO zone. In the spring and summer of 2014, it was necessary to fight fire with fire, what we, the participants in those events, did! We did it trampling morality and the law, so what?’ he wrote.

Babkin said that, in his view, supporters of the "Russian world" in Ukraine had been to experience fear ‘before committing any action’, and the volunteers had imposed that fear on them.

‘Without plunging into the details or tossing materials to bastards from the prosecutor's office, I can only say one thing - I assure you, I also have something behind me to bring me to criminal liability under the laws of peacetime,’ confessed the platoon commander.

Babkin also said he does not think "taking" someone else's property at a war reprehensible.

‘If during the hostilities, a soldier needs to perform a combat mission and survive, and for that he needs food, water, some things, someone's car or something else, it can not be considered looting,’ he stressed.

Babkin added that the ATO participants ‘have crossed the red line since long ago’, are not afraid of anybody and ‘communicate with God without intermediaries’.

‘Most of us have already been "out there» with one foot, and some with two ... My love for Ukraine does not need either the President or Parliament, or other state institutions, and even more people temporarily acting on behalf of them! Just keep that in mind,’ he threatened at the end.
