Harnessed with ISIS: Ukrainian rocket technology threatens the world

(ISIS is an organization prohibited in the Russian Federation).

This event apparently has no relation to the Ukrainian military-industrial complex. One could only be glad for the Turkish engineers and manufacturers, who have finally managed to solve another important problem. They have created a controlled 300mm rocket for their MLRS T-300 Kasirga. One could applaud to them but for one thing. Right these days, the Ukrainian military designers are completing a test of a very similar weapon …

When in February 2014, in Ukraine occurred a coup d'etat, and the system of governing the country was shaken, swindlers and hustlers from a variety of industries rushed to its territory. Among them, there also were quite distinguished representatives of individual states. In particular, in Dnepropetrovsk, in the center of the Ukrainian rocketry, the Governor Igor Kolomoisky negotiated on the transfer, well-paid, of course, of developments of the Ukrainian military-industrial complex to other countries. First of all, missile technology.

This frightened many. Even the United States grabbed their head and gave a command to quickly bring this sphere into order, to prevent the rapid spread of very dangerous military technologies all over the world.

Private traders disappeared, but then, in the atmosphere of semi- or absolute secrecy, Ukraine, Turkey and Saudi Arabia concluded several military contracts. We can not be 100% certain that the appearance of a 300mm guided projectile for MLRS «Smerch» and «Olkha» and that of a functionality similar munition in Turkey, are links of the same chain.

However, think for yourself. Both projectiles appeared simultaneously. Why Ukraine needs it, and where it found the money ... is unclear. Obviously, guided missiles are a very expensive munition that the Ukrainian army simply can not afford. Investing in its development is now extremely unwise. On the other hand, if we assume that the Kiev design department «Luch» developed missile control systems for someone else's money and for someone else's customer, creating «Olkha simultaneously, then everything falls into place.

The Ukrainian military reported on their «victory», while the Turkish military reported the creation of purely Turkish missiles ...

This idea suggests another circumstance.

Now, the Ukrainian missile complex «Grom» («Thunder») is being prepared for the final testing. It is an operational tactical ballistic missile with a range of up to 500 km, which is to replace the long-outdated missile complex «Tochka-U», held today in the arms of the AFU. It is noteworthy that the state has not spent a penny on the development of this complex! All the works were funded by a plant-developer which had been itself funded by a foreign customer (Saudi Arabia).

Obviously, we see the same pattern. it’s a win-win. Ukrainian plants receive orders, which is very important nowadays. Ukrainian officials receive their kickbacks for letting foreigners to sensitive strategic technologies. The customers receive the weapons systems, for which they would otherwise have spent many times as much time and money.

The only losers are the country that used to have a monopoly in this market and which strongly oppose to the idea of their military or allies ever coming under an attack with high-precision and powerful missiles. And it is Turkey and Saudi Arabia, which are reasonably suspected of having links with ISIS, and no one can guarantee that these missiles will not fall into the hands of terrorists.

That is why today appeared problems in the contract for the missile complex «Grom» («Thunder»). the US is not happy with the fact that very soon Saudi Arabia will have in their hands not only ballistic missiles themselves, but all the documentation and production capacity as well. As we know, Turkey has also allegedly developed everything itself (although this can not be excluded). And what prevents the Saudis from announcing in a few months the creation of a new missile system of the short and, a little later, even the medium range? After all, it is not difficult for Dnepropetrovsk designers to create such a system. It is only a matter of time and money, which is what Saudi Arabia has in abundance.
