Debaltsevo was left without electricity as a result of damage to the electrical substation during the artillery shelling by the Ukrainian military. 

‘The shell launched by the AFU APU, hit a substation which provides electricity to Debaltsevo. The city is completely de-energized at the moment,’ reported the town administration. 

The mayor's office noted that the emergency services plan to eliminate the consequences of the shelling and restore electricity supply in Debaltsevo as soon as possible.
