The Republic will easily cope with the reorientation of the industrial enterprises to the markets of the Russian Federation and other countries, - believes the DPR acting Minister of Industry and Trade, Alexey Granovsky.

"Despite the difficulties in the political recognition of the Republic, our businesses quite successfully cooperate with the countries of near and far abroad. In fact, our manufacturers began the process of withdrawal from the Ukrainian markets for the benefit of other countries more than two years ago. Both the state and the business community have some experience in this. Our mechanical engineering industrycan be called an examples of fruitful cooperation. At the end of 2016, the amount of export operations in mechanical engineering exceeded 2.1 bln rubles. About ten machine-building enterprises of the Republic signed agreements on cooperation with foreign partners. A significant part of engineering products exports is intended for Russia, but other countries also demonstrate the interest in this area. At the moment, the DPR exports over 50 groups of goods, including production of the food, light, chemical and pharmaceutical industry, and the metallurgy. Our mining equipment, production of metallurgical enterprises, household appliances and others are in demand.

The decision to transfer all non-residents under the Republican jurisdiction will only expand the circle of the DPR foreign trade relations. Of course, it requires a lot of work of all ministries and departments of the Republic. But we already have a working mechanism of interaction to address these issues,' said the minister.
