The Head of the Donetsk People's Republic, Alexander Zakharchenko might take part in a meeting of the State Duma's international affairs committee which will discuss the situation in the south-east of Ukraine. This proposal was made by a member of the Committee, Kazbek Taysaev.

‘The situation is complicated. I propose to discuss it at a new meeting. Maybe, we should invite parliamentarians, perhaps, even Alexander Zakharchenko. He is ready to come,’ he said.

On October 16, one of the commanders of the Donetsk People's Republic Militia, Arsen Pavlov, with callsign Motorola, was killed in Donetsk. The DPR qualified Motorola’s murder as a terrorist act.
