Attempts by Ukraine to abandon the implementation of the Minsk Agreements points indicate that Kiev intends to withdraw from the negotiation process and completely abandon the agreements. This was stated by Boris Gryzlov, Russia’s plenipotentiary in the Contact group for the settlement in Donbass. 

In such a way Gryzlov commented on the statement of the representative of Ukraine in Minsk, Olga Aivazovskaya. 

‘This is a complete absurdity. The contact group has never discussed a change in the text of the Minsk Agreements. The attempt to remove the Minsk agreements points from the agenda of negotiations in the Minsk format is equivalent to the complete disavowal of these agreements,’ said the representative of Russia. 

Earlier today, the adviser of the Head of the People's Republic of Lugansk and the official representative of the Republic at the Minsk negotiations, Rodion Miroshnik called the statement of Ukraine on elections in Donbass ‘a serious bell’.
