The Office of the Commissioner for Human Rights of the Donetsk People's Republic said that Kiev had released seven war prisoners in Donbass.

‘The Office of the Commissioner for Human Rights of the DPR received information on the release from the Ukrainian captivity of seven persons: one soldier of the Republic and six civilians, including one person not involved in the armed conflict in any way,’ told journalists the representative of the DPR Ombudsman Office.

He added that currently in captivity there are still 956 people, and 490 people are missing. The Office of the Commissioner for Human Rights does not exclude that they may also be kept in captivity.

The representative of the Office added that the prisoners had been released not as a result of the exchange.
