The LPR is completely provided with electricity from its own sources. This was announced by the Minister of Emergency Situations of the Republic, Sergey Ivanushkin. 

‘Yesterday, at 23.41, the Ukrainian side stopped supplying electricity via the LuTPP - Kirovo 220 kW and via the LuTPP - Mikhaylovka 330 kW, via which electricity was supplied through our territory to the northern part of the region,’ he said. 

‘After the shutdown, due to our operational actions, the power supply of the main districts of the city of Lugansk was already turned on after 40 minutes, and at 2.00, we switched in full all over the LPR, switched to our internal resources. The flow to the territory of Ukraine is stopped, zero, we are completely working on our electricity. The power supply operates throughout the Republic,’ Ivanushkin said. 

‘It was possible due to the fact that some amount of electricity that comes to our territory, came from several directions. Due to the fact that the power lines were converted, the new schemes were calculated, and the city of Lugansk was switched to the internal power supply,’ the minister explained.
