02:01, 23.03.2017

About 2 o'clock in the afternoon, the AFU inflicted an artillery strike on the Kievsky district. As a result of the shelling, a girl was injured, who at that moment was passing, with a pram, by the house N 17 in Zhelyabova Street, not far from the Zasyadko mine.

‘A 23-year-old girl shielded her three-month-old baby with her own body, during the explosion of a shell launched by the Ukrainian Armed Forces in Donetsk. The baby was not injured, the girl was,’ wrote the head of the city Donetsk administration, Alexey Kulemzin, on his social networks page.

The mayor also added that, according to doctors, there is no threat to the girl’s life.

Employees of communal, rescue and security services arrived to the scene of the incident. Employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations checked the crater and reported that it had been left by an anti-tank guided missile.
