Almost half of refugees from Donbass want to return home

The Ministry for Temporary Occupied Territories and Internally Displaced Persons has published statistics on the employment of refugees from Donbass. 

54% of interrogated IDPs (internally displaced persons) declare that they have a stable job, 28% are engaged in part. 

35% of all respondents remain working where they worked before the resettlement, another 20% lost their jobs after resettlement and only 5% found a new job. 

68% of respondents believe that the financial situation of their family has deteriorated after moving. 

The immigrants called the biggest problem a high rent for housing (46%) and discrimination by landlords on the basis of geography (19%). 

42% of respondents have stated their intentions to return home. 34% do not want to return. Another 26% believe that they will have to return against their own will due to lack of work, a high rent for housing and other reasons.
