In Turkey, there has occurred, or rather, is occurring a military coup.

The military are trying to take power into their own hands and remove the current government which, from the point of view of foreign policy, is completely bankrupt.

02-03. A military helicopter has opened machine gun fire on supporters of President of Turkey Erdogan,  gathered in the streets Ankara.

02-11. A government aircraft F-16 has shot down a helicopter belonging to the participants of the coup.

02-13. The leaders of the military coup in Turkey are captured, says the Prime Minister.

02-16. 17 policemen are killed in Ankara in the attack of the rebels on the police headquarters.

02-21. Barack Obama calls to support the democratically elected government of Turkey.

02-22. According to different estimates, from 4 to 8 combat aircraft are flying over Ankara.

Most of the police officers killed at the police headquarters in Ankara died in the bombing from the helicopter shot down the F-16.

02-32. In Istanbul, soldiers who participated in the coup  are leaving the tanks and handing their weapons over to the police and security forces.

02-45. An explosion in the Turkish parliament is reported.

02-47. A representative of the Turkey's National Intelligence states that the military coup is suppressed.

02-51. The Parliament is reported to have allegedly suffered an air strike. According to other data. a bomb was exploded there.

The military equipment is leaving the positions in the city streets.

Large-scale protests of the opponents of the coup are also taking place in Istanbul and Izmir.

The governor of Istanbul Vasip Shakheen says that the attempt of the military coup in the city has been stopped, and additional military units are being delivered. Shakheen also says that tanks can be introduced in the city, if necessary.

03-29. According to unconfirmed reports, in the Parliament building there was another explosion.

03-50. A group of the military has entered the studio of the Turkish office of CNN.

04-13. In the Ataturk International Airport in Istanbul, Erdogan's plane has landed and there has been a powerful explosion.

04-17. Erdogan says in Istanbul that 'no force can break the national spirit'.

04-20. On the Taksim Square in Istanbul, there are several explosions.

Some sources report that it was an airstrike, three or four bombs, then the plane made another lap and dropped three more bombs.

04-22. According to preliminary data, the number of wounded has exceeded 150 people.

04-25. Above the center of Istanbul, a few military aircraft are loitering. Three of them flew over the Taksim Square when there were the powerful explosions.
