Military coup attempt in Turkey (online, updated)

In Turkey, there has occurred, or rather, is occurring a military coup.

The military are trying to take power into their own hands and remove the current government which, from the point of view of foreign policy, is completely bankrupt.

Erdogan has not yet been arrested, but the military say that Turkey is now governed by a "peace council".
The territory of the country is under curfew.

The Prime Minister Binali Yildirim informs of the attempt of a military coup in the country. At the same time, he assures that democracy is not in danger.
According to the Prime Minister, a group of military has attempted to overthrow the government.
The security forces of the country have been ordered to take all necessary measures, the minister says.
He adds that those who tried to make a coup will pay the highest price. According to him, the government elected by the people is in control.
The Prime Minister says that several generals are involved in a military coup.
A Turkish official, speaking on condition of anonymity, said that military units were also deployed in other cities of Turkey, but did not specify which ones.
