Workers of the Zasyadko mine which was under the Ukrainian jurisdiction, told the edition «Moskovsky Komsomolets» that they did not mind if the mine was taken under the control of the DPR. 

‘We have the average salaries of about 6 thousand UAH. A year ago, at the rate of 2.8, it was 16,800 rubles, now the UAH rate has fallen and it is 12,600 rubles. At the Kalinina minewhich is under the DPR jurisdiction, salaries are 15-18 thousand rubles. All people are moving there! The main thing is to provide for our families. So, if we are paid regularly and well, no one will be upset,’  said a miner Andrey. 

Last year, the coal production in the DPR exceeded the pre-war figures.
