In Kiev, public organizations associated with the party «Batkivschina" and its leader Yulia Tymoshenko, are preparing for a large-scale protest actions.

A source confirmed that by the beginning of October, the organizations had purchased from 300 to 500 tents. It also became known that the «Batkivschina" planned for October 11, to arrange a ‘rehearsal of autumn mass events’ which should involve, in particular, the trade unions.

In particular, the chairman of the Confederation of Free Trade Unions of Ukraine, Mikhail Volynets said that on October 11 there was scheduled a protest action of the railway workers, but emphasized that it was in no way connected with any of the political parties.

According to the media, the possible protests are associated with a significant increase in the utility tariffs.
