In the night shelling of the Kuybyshevsky district of Donetsk from the Ukrainian side, there were damaged 13 houses and two locals injured.

‘Here again we can see how Ukraine wants peace in the land of Donbass after the meetings of the Contact group in Minsk. Last night the shelling was carried out with large-caliber artillery, 122 and 152mm systems,’ commented the Vice-Commander of the operational command of the DPR Armed Forces, Eduard Basurin.

There are two victims, a man and a woman. It should be noted that a woman is a veteran of the Great Patriotic War, the elderly woman born in 1929. She was buried under her own house and dug up by her neighbours.

‘The shelling started at half past nine. Mortar shells were flying, and now you can see the result of their landing. People don’t have windows again, that's the way we live. I now want to ask Eduard Basurin to chase them away, chase them quickly, let Zakharchenko give the order. We shouldn't wait for the grieg to come again, chase them faster, please!’ says a local resident, Galina.

According to her, attacks are targeted on the residential sector, in order to destroy the civilian population.

‘Not that it is revenge on their part, it is rather the envy that we live here and develop, and they are sick and afflicted people. We live here, no matter what. If they were not possessed, they would do such things. All the Ukrainian government came on blood and is now sending others to be bloodied,’ she said.

The final touch to the whole picture were the words of little Dima, who lives with his parents nearby. The boy's father was not at home when it happened, and his mother and he had to cope with everything themselves. 

‘I was watching cartoons. When I heard the sound of the shelling, I turned it down. I was very frightened, my mother and I went to the floor and I defended my mother. And then we went quickly to Dad’s work,’ he said.
