During the military confrontation between Kiev and the militia of Donbass, about eight thousand Ukrainian soldiers have come over to the side of the latter.

According to the chief military prosecutor of Ukraine, Anatoly Matios, his department has a complete listing and irrefutable evidence of betrayal of five thousand law enforcement officers and about three thousand military, who have sided with the militia.

Matios threatened the Ukrainian military who had come over to the DPR and LPR with criminal charges.
