This afternoon, the Ukrainian military opened fire on the hospital №21 situated in the frontline locality of Oktyabrsky in the Kuibyshevsky district of Donetsk city. It was reported by the operational command of the DPR.

‘In the Kuibyshevsky district of Donetsk, at about 12.30, the area of the district hospital №21 was hit by two mortar shells. The facade of the hospital building is damaged, and the windows are smashed,’ noted the command.

According to the deputy chief physician of the hospital, Victor Beza, the explosion occurred approximately at 12:15 Moscow time (the same in Donetsk). A shell landed on the territory of the institution. At the time of the shelling, there were about 180 people in the building.

The head physician suggested that the shelling had been carried out from the locality of Pesky occupied by the Ukrainian military.

In order to assess the situation, representatives of the Joint Center for Control and Coordination of the ceasefire and the OSCE Special monitoring mission arrived at the place of the shelling.
