The growth of the Donetsk People's Republic economy has grown by 52 percent by the end of the year. This was announced by the Head of the Republic, Aleksandr Zakharchenko, during a direct conversation with the residents of the DPR.

‘In 2015, we, unfortunately, were forced to simply close many businesses. The year of 2016 has become a year of stabilization. Our economy has stabilized. By the end of the year, we have registered up to 52 percent economic growth,’ said the Head of the state.

Zakharchenko added that in the current year, many companies have started delivery of goods to the Russian Federation, which enabled the Republic to fill the state treasury.
