Zakharchenko connected aggravation in the south with US presidential elections

02:28, 11.11.2016

The increased attacks on the part of the AFU in the southern segment of the front may be related to the presidential elections in the United States. It was suggested by the Head of DPR, Alexander Zakharchenko, in an interview with journalists.

‘The situation in the south is serious. The attacks have intensified for 2.5 weeks. This is due to the elections in the United States. They thought that at the moment of the lack of power in the US, they would be able to make the leap for which they hope. Ukraine believes that it is able to reach the borders (with Russia) on its own,’ explained the Head of the Republic.

He also emphasized that the Ukrainian military continued to amass military equipment near the contact line, namely in the Gorlovka and southern directions, as well as in the Dokuchaevsk area.
