Ukrainian oligarchs are taking an active part in internal US politics. The oligarch and son-in-law of ex-president Leonid Kuchma, Viktor Pinchuk, "donated" $ 10 million to the Clinton Foundation.

It is stated in tan article of the Kiev edition of «Obozrevatel" (Observer).

The article clarifies that the money was given the family charitable foundation Clinton Foundation founded by Bill Clinton.

‘Some of the record-breaking sums (over $ 25 million) were donated to the Clinton Foundation by seven different organizations well-known for their charity work, such as the Bill and Melissa Gates Foundation, UNITAID and others. However, there is another interesting fact. According to The Wall Street Journal, leaders among foreign donors to the Clinton Foundation are representatives of a poor European country, Ukraine. For 15 years (until 2014), $ 10 million had been sent to help the Clinton couple,’ says the article.

The largest contributor among Ukrainians is Victor Pinchuk: according to the official data of the Foundation, he is in the second group of the organization’s donors. The New York Times writes that since 2006, he has donated to the Bill, Hillary & Chelsea Clinton Foundation about $ 13 million.

According to the US media, Pinchuk was introduced to the Clinton family in 2004 by the sociologist and political consultant, Douglas Schoen, via whom they kept in touch for a long time.

'Even at a time when Hillary served as US Secretary of State, with the position proposed to her by Barack Obama after his victory in the presidential elections (January 21, 2009 - February 1, 2013). The Western media wrote at the time that the meetings could concern business matters, especially the dissatisfaction of US steelmakers who openly accused several manufacturers, including Pinchuk's Interpipe Ltd., of dumping. It was already known that Mrs Clinton intended to occupy a higher post of that of the Secretary of State, so she did not want any scandals,’ states the article.

In addition, the Clinton couple is an indispensable participant of the elite gatherings called "Yalta European Strategy", patronized by Viktor Pinchuk and held in the Crimea since the late 90s and in Kiev in the past two years.
