This is a war

The other day, in Kiev occurred an event that most media just ignored. For what reason, it's hard to say. Most likely, they just did not consider it important. Needless to say, events that occur at the level of «high ideology» are often not understood by our «political class» (if it can be called that way). And, therefore, they are not understood by the «media» that are supervised by this «class». Well, it's not their sphere, what can you do about it?. Unfortunately, this also applies to those events that are ready to immediately move from the category of this very «high ideology» to a practical level. This has already happened more than once. But now I'm talking about this: in the former «Mother of Russian cities» (Kiev), an agreement was concluded between the «Right Sector» (the Bandera terrorist organization banned in Russia) and the so-called «Kiev Patriarchate» (a schismatic sect of the UOC-KP, headed by the so-called «Patriarch» Filaret). Honestly, the incident itself is already outstanding as in my memory this is the first time when a major religious organization concludes a direct and public contract with terrorists. Even taking into account the fact that this organization itself is controversial, to put it mildly, and the fact that the country in which it acts does not recognize terrorists as terrorists. So, even with this in mind, such contracts are something blatant. Already speaking in itself about the refusal to observe any, even symbolic ethical norms. But if the matter was only in ethics, it would hardly make sense to talk about it. In the end, we are talking about the former «Ukraine», and such events there are an absolute banality. But, unfortunately, we are talking about something else.

For me, for a long time, it has not been news that a real religious war has been unleashed on the territory controlled by the Ukrainian regime. More precisely, it is persecution, whose goal is Russian Orthodoxy. I think that this is not news for many other people who are honestly interested in what is happening there. In fact, this war was unleashed in 1992, immediately after the separation of this territory from the single Russian space. But for the first 15 years, it was hidden and very sluggish. However, seizures of parishes and persecutions against believers began already at that time. At the moment of the Bandera coup in Kiev in February 2014, an escalation of this undeclared war began. I am not talking now about what is happening in Donbass where Orthodox priests are openly murdered. No. I'm talking about what is happening in regions where there is no «hot war». At least, theoretically. I’m talking about the places where they do not bomb. So, there, after the radical Bandera regime came to power, these religious persecutions became avalanche-like. Our official propaganda speaks of this extremely reluctantly: it has already been said that the theme of «high ideology» is alien to it. Even though this propaganda itself appeals to Orthodoxy quite actively. But in order to understand the true meaning of the event, it is necessary to understand the cause and purpose of these persecutions themselves. In fact, there is nothing tricky in them: the main task of the Ukrainian Nazis, their state and their «church», is to eradicate everything Russian on the territory under their control. Totally eradicate it. Because otherwise, Ukrainian idea can not exist. After all, it was Stephen Bandera who formulated the main condition for the existence of Ukraine, as such: ‘Kill the Russian in yourself’ (c). Do it in others as well. Even if you kill these «others» themselves in the process. Well, what is one of the bearing walls of the Russian World? Of course, it is Russian Orthodoxy. And this was true even when Orthodoxy itself was not honored in Russia.

It is quite clear that the goal of Ukraine in this matter is the creation of its «own church». Separate from the Russian one. Separate not formally, but existentially. The antipode church. The antagonistic church. Some kind of Orthodox analogue of the «Greek Catholics» whose priests, during the «Volyn massacre», quite calmly called in the temples for a mass slaughter and blessed the unleashed genocide. But those Greek Catholics are traitors and renegades with a centuries-old track record. The overwhelming majority of the population of this territory does not and will never belong to them. Hence, a purely Orthodox religious mutant is needed. Not related to either God or faith. Only to politics. To nothing else. As such, in the early 1990s, the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of Kiev Patriarchate (UOC-KP) was created - an absolutely heretical, schismatic structure that the world Orthodoxy has categorically refused to recognize for a quarter of a century. And not only Orthodoxy. Even the pope refuses to deal with them. And this spiritual abscess would have dissolved itself. But for the Ukrainian state which actively and aggressively supported it. They are not just of one blood, they are Siamese twins. One will not survive without the other. But the truth is that Ukrainian Nazis can create their own church only if they eliminate the «alien» one. This is the same story as with all other manifestations of Russian - language, history, culture. While they exist, they are a threat to them. Just by the very fact of their existence. In fact, Ukrainian idea is something that resembles staphylococcus in its properties. It just does not survive in the presence of competitors. So, they will try to eradicate all of the above. Which they are doing pretty consistently.

However, the point is that the agreement of the «Kiev Patriarchate» with the «Right Sector» is an open declaration of war. Mr. Filaret directly declares that from now on, he will eradicate Russian Orthodoxy by armed force. Open, obvious, clear armed force. That from now on, it is Bandera radicals who will officially seize the parishes. In fact, it is a concordat. According to which, the «Right Sector» assumes the functions of the power division of the «Kiev Patriarchate». After this, you can expect anything. Up to the armed seizure of the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra and military actions against the Russian Orthodox clergy. Not to mention parishioners.

Is it necessary to say that after this, anti-Russian persecutions in the so-called «Ukraine» moves to a new level? All persecutions, not only spiritual ones. But in regard to Banderites, I personally understand everything. My question is different: how will the official RF react to all this? The point is that, after all, the official Moscow has already appealed to Orthodoxy for two and a half decades, as to its own ideological basis (as far as the non-ideological status of the present state allows, of course). It also very actively appeals to the Russian Orthodox Church, as to its spiritual landmark. Personally, I have nothing against it. But everything has a price and everything has a downside. If a certain political class tries to claim its «orthodoxy», bravely poses in a church with a candle in the hands and talks about spirituality from the screen, it must behave appropriately in a religious war. That is, in a situation when terror is unleashed against the spiritual basis to which it appeals. This is the price. The normal price, by the way. If you appeal to the ideal, kindly protect this ideal, or you are worthless. Moreover, the one who refuses to pay such a price, loses subjectivity. Because, refusing to pay the price, he renounces his own «higher grounds». Loses metaphysical legitimacy, in a way. And this is also the law of life.

Holding a «meaningful pause» in this issue will not work. If you have said «a»,  sooner or later, you will have to say «b». It looks like it is exactly this moment that is coming: those who try to rely on Orthodoxy are obliged either to start defending it, or ... Well, or automatically stop relying on it. And hover in the void. With the abyss below being very deep. And becoming deeper with every passing day. A maneuver is impossible here either, because the times for jokes is over. Ii is over in the spiritual matter, too. What has happened is not just another political grimace or «clerical» operative combination.

This is a war.

There are only two options in a war: to fight or die. The choice is simple.
